NDS Lite FFIII Crystal Edition
I was searching for this special edition (FFIII Crystal Edition) of NDS since around 3 years ago but i never could find it till now. If you love the Final Fantasy saga, this item must be in your collection, its cover is simple but pretty,and the white color of the console makes it to look so formal, the rest is like every NDS lite of the world =P. Functional and Funny XD

I got this when it came out and it's a lovely DS i liked the design but have the FFIII and Crystal Chronicle one also these have become a bit of a collection for me.
It's a must for a fan of FF or anyone looking for a variation from the normal DS designs.

Buy this product, its so sexy
i ordered it and i love it so much, it has a nice and glittery design at the front and it so sexy i use white rubber gloves to hold it lol, its easy to get finger prints but i bought a crystal hardcase to protect it from finger prints. i also bought a hori screen protector to protect this beauty from scratched. :D

THE SPECIAL NINTENDO DS
I think its the most amazing front cover and a slick look for that system. It even has a touch screen for awsome gameplay. For my opinion it beats any portable system, except the PSP since it can play dvds.

Blue DS not leaving me blue~
My first DS didn't come from play-asia. I actually picked one up from somewhere else once I acquired enough money. I was very happy with the product and loved it to bits and pieces! Problem was, it came with a crack on the system and that bothered me. I would've stuck with it, though, but then I spotted this beauty...

A little reminder for buyers
The back is not like other DS,it is actually plastic as in the feeling of the inside of the DS,it can also be have a little scratch mark once you scratch it but,I heard if you just rub it,the scratch will come off.Also I heard that when taking off the gameboy cartridge is a little hard to take off,although that was only a rumor but,it may be true.Anyways,I aprove of the DS just make sure not to scratch it much.

This dslite has to be the best color available, i set it next to my sister's white ds and it makes her ds look like a piece of crap. i ordered this on a thursday night and it was on my front porch monday afternoon! they even included some free japanese candy which was a nice addition

For those importers worried about electrical issues (different currencies) remember you use the free USB charger (free gift from Play-Asia), and charge from your computer. No need to use actual electricity to charge. I have the 110 volt Japanese one, but I still use the USB charger from my computer for most the times I charge.

This DS is great. In my opinion it is the best color out there. I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. It makes my black DS look kind of bland and boring... maybe they'll come out with more colors soon. Anyways, it is definitely worth the extra money to import this version.

It's SO cool to see the people's faces...nobody has it!!!
I was looking for information about the Nintendo DS in Wikipedia.com, and all of a sudden I read: "The Nintendo DS comes in five colors...". I went like "What? Noooo, no no no no...that only comes in white, black and pink...what the hell are they talking about?". I kept reading and I see my favorite color shown in the list: Light Blue...ok well, Ice Blue to go with the official name. No WAY!?!?! This thing comes in light blue!?!?! But where the hell is it? I have never seen it anywhere!!! So, I looked it up until I finally found it in Play-Asia and, since it ended up being cheaper than on eBay, I placed the order.
I bought my Ice Blue Nintendo DS right before it went on backorder (phew!) and I can tell you...I really don't care about the $70 more that I spent to get something that nobody has. I live in Puerto Rico and not too many people know how to buy unique things like this one via Internet, so it's fun to tell them that this DS that I have is only sold in Japan. Of course, when you turn it on, it's going to come out in Japanese, but don't panic! Follow these instructions: when you turn it on for the first time, it's going to ask you for some information. Write whatever gibberish you want (remember that you won't understand it anyway...and you can change it later) and, once you finish entering whatever data you are being asked for, you will get to the main screens (you will see a clock, a calendar and some text boxes). Tap on the icon with the DS drawing at the bottom center of the bottom screen. Tap on the pink box with a wrench on it and then three more boxes come up. Tap on the one with a globe and...voila! Select ENGLISH!!!
Important for the people in the US and Puerto Rico...DON'T you dare buying the 220 V version PLEASE...yours is the 110 V version, understand? Remember that we don't have the same voltage rate than in Europe...ok? Good, so now repeat after me: ONE-HUNDRED-AND-TEN-VOLTS!!!

I was looking for information about the Nintendo DS in Wikipedia.com, and all of a sudden I read: "The Nintendo DS comes in five colors...". I went like "What? Noooo, no no no no...that only comes in white, black and pink...what the hell are they talking about?". I kept reading and I see my favorite color shown in the list: Light Blue...ok well, Ice Blue to go with the official name. No WAY!?!?! This thing comes in light blue!?!?! But where the hell is it? I have never seen it anywhere!!! So, I looked it up until I finally found it in Play-Asia and, since it ended up being cheaper than on eBay, I placed the order.
I bought my Ice Blue Nintendo DS right before it went on backorder (phew!) and I can tell you...I really don't care about the $70 more that I spent to get something that nobody has. I live in Puerto Rico and not too many people know how to buy unique things like this one via Internet, so it's fun to tell them that this DS that I have is only sold in Japan. I ordered my DS Lite Ice blue as a reward to myself. I have sold 38 DS Lites on-line, when they were rare in North America, and made a tidy profit. Time to treat myself.
I was so glad I saw the Ice Blue DS Lite, and was ready to make a purchase. I sold my used white DS Lite on-line (for a profit) and immediately bought the Ice Blue from Play-Asia. I never had one second of buyer's remorse from the moment I made my on-line purchase. To the end, when my beautiful package arrived via UPS. I ordered this on a Wednesday night, in the USA, and it arrived by Friday morning! Wow! What quick service!
When the package arrived, I was careful not to open it in front of my young children. My son just got a black DS Lite and I had a feeling he would be wanting my beautiful new Ice Blue Lite if he saw it. I didn't even show my wife! (She might take it too!) I couldn't believe my eyes! What a glorious beautiful invention Nintendo of Japan has brought us! Shiny, pretty and Lite. Wow!
Play Asia also included a USB charger for my new Lite. Simply plug it into your computer, and into the Lite, and "Voila" it's charging just like from the Electrical charger. This was included free of charge. Also included was some delicious candy!
The Japanese version is compatible with the electrical systems in the USA, so no worries there. It is a bit trying to get your name and birthdate and other stuff updated, in a foreign language (Japanese I think), but you can switch to English for your nickname on the system. All other stuff is self-explanatory.
Highly recommended. Play Asia is a wonderful company and brings lots of pleasure to Import Gamers.

It's true, pictures don't do the Ice Blue DS justice. Definitely better than just skinning/covering an ordinary NA version. My only hesitation was with not being able to register the DS in the U.S., but Play-Asia's six month warranty helped with that matter. Customer service was quick to respond to any questions or inquiries I had. Considering the demand for DS Lites during the holidays I was surprised at how fast I received mine.
I haven't had any problems with my DS and have no regrets with my purchase.

They don't have this in Canada, and when I e-mailed Play-Asia, I got a quick response (within 24 hours!!) Only downside was the shipping wasn't very quick. When i purchased this product, the icon said within 24 hours shipping, but they shipped it almost a week later. Oh well, at least i got it. That's the important part.

I would have to wait at least a few more months or years before Canada would get new colors. But since importing the DS Lite I am very happy (Even better that you can switch languages =D ). This is a great buy the system comes with:

I fell in love with it when I got it in the mail, the color is nice and doesntly really show as well in the website pictures. But I ordered mine from here via UPS and to my surprise, got it the next day! It does look kinda like a bar of soap lol but it the best looking electronic soap bar Ive ever seen! So if you want a ds thats not a boring color (like in the u.s.) then buy from here and youll be more than happy! :)

Hello, every Nintendo DS (including the Lite series) can run games from any region except Chinese games, them run only on the iQue, the chinese DS. So that's mean that the Japanese models can run american and european versions of any game.
And all DS have the menus in english, german, french, spanish, italian and japanese languages, you only have to setup it at first time.

I got this wonderful games console today in a shop. It is brilliant. I used to have the old DS (in pink) but I sold it to get this one. This has a better screen than the old DS. It is much brighter. And of course the size is so much smaller!

Although i did get stung for customs charges which i was not aware i could be liable to (PlayAsia really SHOULD note this on the item description!). The DS itself is a lovely glossy black with 2 characters on the front. Flipped open its a nice matt black colour.

I know someone from China with all sorts of cool gadgets (He just came to our school). He showed me his Pokemon DP DS Lite a few days ago, and was kind enough to let me borrow it for a week. IT ROX. It has images of Diaruga and Palkia on the front, and when you flip it open, it reveals a smooth, black surface. Even though it's a normal DS Lite with kewl graphics, any Pokemon fan will love it. BUY IT NOW.

Very nice, but has its share of problems...
I had a black original DS which was far better to any of the colors released in the US, although it was more of a dark grey (hence, "charcole") than a solid black.
I held onto that and waited out the release of a black DS Lite since the white one looks and feels too much like an iPod for my taste and I just generally prefer black systems over white anyway.
Now that I have one in my hands, I have to say that I'm pleased. As far as the color goes, it looks very nice and clean - much more defined than the white, so to speak. However, it comes with its share of problems, to be sure.
First, like the PSP, black iPods, etc, fingerprints, dust, and scratches show MUCH more on the black DS Lite. Fortunately, only the lid and bottom of the Lite is affected by this since the inside is a matte finish whereas the outside has the glossy look to it.
In other words, your smudgy fingerprints won't irritate you during gameplay like they might while playing the PSP.
A couple other gripes about the Lite in general...I'm afraid that since the letters on the buttons are painted on, they will most likely wear off over time. Hopefully this won't be true, but I won't be surprised.
Back to the outside of the Lite and scratches...I've managed to keep my unharmed so far, but it'll be difficult to keep it that way forever. The white one may not show it as bad, but the black will for sure. It just depends on how well you take care of your stuff.
To help prevent this, I recommend picking up a nice case along with your Lite like the Hori Multi Pouch Lite (see my review on that one as well). I also picked up a leather sleeve to keep mine in when not in the case. It helps if I just want to keep it in my pocket for a bit.
The screen is brighter (VERY MUCH SO), the d-pad/buttons are a bit smaller, but it isn't as top-heavy as the old DS when playing games which require full stylus control.
One word of warning, though. If you have big hands, you may want to keep your old DS or get one instead. It may be bulky, but you will probably find it more comfortable. I suggest holding a friend's Lite for a while first before deciding.

Well, there's already improvements from DS to DS Lite. I'm not going to rate this comparing it to the DS. Rather, I'll compare this to the other DS lites.
Much like the others it's pretty much a standard DS lite. The DS lite is already great, in and of itself. Wants makes this stand out is artwork. It's no Mona Lisa, but the artwork is simple and clean. It doesn't scratch off easily because there's an clean layer on the top that protects it from scratches. Great job on this one.

I ordered the black DS Lite Sunday night and recieved it Wednesday morning. There were no scratches or dead pixels on it. I also got a complimentary USB charger compatible with the DS Lite and some candy. That's nice. :|

The DS Lite is in practically every way better than the DS. It's slimmer, brighter, sexier, and lighter. However, there are some cons that the DS Lite has as well. The Lite has many defects, some rare, but some common. They are, but aren't restricted to: Faulty diagonals, weaker buttons, tilted screens, hinge cracks, and dead pixels. Luckily, my imported navy Lite only has faulty diagonals, but nevertheless is annoying. The Lite would have really been better without these defects.
However, the Lite of course isn't all bad. I love the navy color, even if it does get a lot of fingerprints on it. It is just a wonderful piece of technology. The crackling candies that came with it were also tasty. So while I indeed love my Lite, its biggest flaw would be the defects, shooting the otherwise 5 stars to a 4.

I preordered the pink DS the 3rd day after they started taking preordering and finally on july 21st they shipped it. I did take over 1 week, i think 10 days including sat and sunday, but I guess it's normal. I live in Connecticut. And yes the system is just so pretty and cute, i love the color. I think the extra money is worth it! US will not have this on the market i just know it. well yes it's true they didn't include the usb cable, but it should, i contacted play-asia and they responded and said they will ship it out to me that same day. It dosen't matter too much but i like to have the option of charging on the usb.

i was afraid it would be too pepto pink, but it's not, it's an attractive baby pink. and NO DEAD PIXELS, very happy about that.

I just got my new DS in the mail and wow i have never seen anyhting so sleak and shiny i love it. When i turned it on it was a blast of brightness to my eyes and a tear ran down my face it was so beauitful, yes a tear. And now me and my wonderful black DS will be happy together forever.

man this thing rocks! havent even tried out the different light settings, but im glad i made this purchase even after paying about 180 for the original (graphite) ds! if you love the ds and havent gotten around to getting this one DO IT! save up your money, its a good upgrade. and start saving for the wii! =)

The DS Lite is sleek, sexy, & in everyway better then the DS Phat EXCEPT the GBA games stick-out about 2.5 centimeters ((which isn't really a problem)) I don't notice it when I do play GBA games, I plan to snag the DS Lite Rumble Pak soon and just use my Micro for GBA games.

Black is the new black...
I was amazed to get my black ds lite ONE DAY after they shipped it out. From Hong Kong to New York in 24 hours. That's amazing. The system looks beautiful. It's so tiny and sleek looking. It does get fingerprints very easily so it's pretty high maintainance, but I just clean it off and it looks hot. I'm impressed.

Ordered my Blue DS Lite and got it within 2 days of ordering. Service is fantastic. Comparing the Blue Lite to the Black Lite I got my wife, I have to admit, that the Black looks just that little bit more expensive and just a little nicer.
The screens are even sharper than the original DS however I find the colours to be slightly washed out for some colours and overly contrasty for others.
The d-pad isn't nearly as sensitive as the original and to be honest I don't really like it. I prefer the original as it was much more responsive and I had a much better feel for what was going to happen when I moved my thumb.
Overall a superb piece of hardware but I can't help thinking that there are some bits on it are 'cheap' and not as good as the original!

I had tried out the White DSL in stores and at E3. But you can really tell with the Black. The Contrasting colors (lit screens, black surounding) really make the screens pop! And I'm seeing colors in games I never knew where there before.
Plus, the Black casing is so much more sexier than white. The only downside is it's a fingerprint magnet. Very minor annoyance that's really a non-issue.

Well my Black DS lite just came via UPS today only after 3 days! I was so excited I opened it up and everything was happy. until... I turned on a game and I found 1 dead pixel on the touch screen and then another on the top screen... well that pretty much made me feel bad... I don't know what to do now! I don't know if Play asia takes returns but i'm guessing no... Well at least I have free candy USB charger and a cool carrying case... sigh maybe i'll give Nintendo a call...

DS Litw Review
Hi i bought my DS Lite off of here a while back now and im just writing this review to let people know about the new system and how it compares to the old.
design: well the DS Lite has been given a new sleak look, with the white one the clear plastic on it has a kind of white iPod look to it. they also have given you a GBA filler cartridge so it can mantain the sleak look when you dont ahve a GBA game in there.
size: wel the size is much smaller than the old system and you could actully remove the entire top hindge part of the old DS! the Lite is the same thickness as the bottom half of the old system.
Button: the "start" and "select" buttons have been moved to just below the "A" "B" "X" "Y" buttons and this works much better than the old systen. also the power button is now a slider on the right side of the console.
Screen: the screen one the Lite is amazing! it has 4 brightness settings, the first being dim the last is amazingly bright, brighter even so than the PSP screen!
Battery: wel for the 4 brightness settings it goes like this 1st, 15-19hr. 2nd 10-15hr. 3rd 7-11hr. 4th. 5-8hr. but there is'ent an acurate setting for how much battery life remains unlike in the PSP where you are told exactly how much longer it will last, like the old system there is a bar on the top screen in the top right corner on the system display menu. but it is either full or almost empty, which does'ent really help!
and as for the GBA cartridges, they do stick out of the system bout 1cm but does'ent affect gameplay as your games are totally free of the cartridge slot when playing games.

design: well the DS Lite has been given a new sleak look, with the white one the clear plastic on it has a kind of white iPod look to it. they also have given you a GBA filler cartridge so it can mantain the sleak look when you dont ahve a GBA game in there.
size: wel the size is much smaller than the old system and you could actully remove the entire top hindge part of the old DS! the Lite is the same thickness as the bottom half of the old system.
Button: the "start" and "select" buttons have been moved to just below the "A" "B" "X" "Y" buttons and this works much better than the old systen. also the power button is now a slider on the right side of the console.
Screen: the screen one the Lite is amazing! it has 4 brightness settings, the first being dim the last is amazingly bright, brighter even so than the PSP screen!
Battery: wel for the 4 brightness settings it goes like this 1st, 15-19hr. 2nd 10-15hr. 3rd 7-11hr. 4th. 5-8hr. but there is'ent an acurate setting for how much battery life remains unlike in the PSP where you are told exactly how much longer it will last, like the old system there is a bar on the top screen in the top right corner on the system display menu. but it is either full or almost empty, which does'ent really help!
and as for the GBA cartridges, they do stick out of the system bout 1cm but does'ent affect gameplay as your games are totally free of the cartridge slot when playing games.

I was a little worried becuase i have never ordered anything import before, but this turned out to be a great experience. Free USB charger too! Can't go wrong. It's just unbelieveable!...I can't even describe its "awesomeness"! The graphics seem a lot more improved with the brighter light, and has a LOT longer battery life. Not to mention how much smaller and sleek it looks. GO DSL (DS Lite)!! WOOOO!!!

Enamel Navy Blue DS -- Received & PERFECT!!
This was my first order for a system. They took the DS box, packed it in bubble wrap, then placed it in another box, then slid it into the UPS shipping envelope. It arrived in PERFECT CONDITION. I received a case I ordered for it, a free USB powering cable, and some candy thrown in. When I opened the box...the DS was absolutely stunning. This color is fantastic. Dark navy blue (almost black). I am thinking of a white PSP next. I will most definitely order it from Play-Asia. I could not be happier. The screens really have to be seen to be believed. Mario Kart looks so vibrant and the Lite's screens really bring out the detail on the tracks. It is also much easier on the hands, the old DS gave me cramp when I played MK!

All the hype is true, you should really get this.
I recently got mine at long last a few days ago, and boy, you really notice the difference after you use the old DS Phat for a year!
The D-pad takes a little bit getting used to, but that's the same with all change really, but you get used to the amazing brightness of the screen right away! It makes the old DS look pretty poor! The buttons also have a much more comfortable feel to them.
As for weight, you really don't feel the weight of the DS Lite very much, not compared to the old one which would give me hand aches if I held it for too long, it also would drag my trousers down when I had it in my pocket, not anymore!
The touchscreen has improved as well, it doesn't look as grainy as it used to, and the stylus included is larger so it makes it easier to use as well.
Seriously man, if you're planning on getting yourself a DS if you don't already have one, you simply must purchase the DS Lite, and not the DS.
The only drawbacks however are that the speakers aren't as loud as it's predecessor, and that the GBA slot is smaller, meaning GBA Games stick out, but to be honest that doesn't really matter because if you probably won't want to be playing GBA games anymore soon, and it comes with a special cover for the slot.

Absolutely Amazing
I just revieced my NDS Lite and it is quite amazing, it works with my American games and you can change the language setting. The delivery has very, very fast. It took 4 days to come to me in America from Hong Kong! I would buy this a thousand times over!

My DS lite arrived yesterday, it took it four days from Hong Kong to Norway!
The DS lite is everything you've ever dreamt of and more! It's beautiful to look at, comfortably to hold, and shines up everywhere it goes! The display is just amazing! Four levels of brightness! OMG!!

Although i ordered this on the 18th of Feb it only arrived today but i can say that it was worth the wait and it only took 2 days to arrive from hong kong. Very pleased with the console it really is alot smaller and the screens are 10 times better the pictures you see just do not do it justice at all

It's finally here!
This was definitely worth the wait. The screen brightness makes the colors much more vivid, the hinge for the top screen is very solid when pulled all the way back, the buttons are perfect, and it's sexy. Nintendo has done excellent, and I hope a lot more people will get this once it comes stateside.

When I finally received it (1 DAY after it was shipped!), the package included a GBA game, one which I did not order. I went onto their site and checked around to see if I could find out what was going on, and they mentioned that to "compensate" the lengthy delays, they would include a special surprise for all DS Lite backorders. How many companies would do something like this? Order from them, you will NOT be disappointed. 5 Stars!

I think when I get my Nintendo DS Lite(June) I will use it for hours! I have seen people play it and its absolutely brighter, Clearer,Liter and pretty much more! The stylus is indeed bigger and the power button is now on the side! I used to lose my data especially on Animal Crossing Wild World(Man I hate Resetti!) and now it won't do that anymore! I also here that it might go online! No Java or Flash but still!

Took more than two weeks to arrive and it has a dead pixel, but I love this thing. Its so small and it looks much much better than the previous DS. Plus the screen looks very good.

Just got my cyrstal lite DS Lite
Well i have to give it to play asia. I ordered the DS Lite (Cyrstal Lite) back in late feb before it came out.
When launch date came they released a statement explaining why they dont have any to send. And then sometime later the blue/gay blue versions became available. I decided to just wait out on the white since I wasnt in any hurry. Well it finally shipped 3 days ago.
It only took 3 days to get from HK to here. And boy was I glad because it came with a GBA game (f-zero) and it's regular japanese packaging. The DS Lite is everything people have already said it is. What more can I say than Nyah! :P

Great Handheld!
It's sad. Now that I have the Lite my old DS is no longer in use. The DS lite has a wonderful iPod inspired-shiny-look and overall it's a LOT prettier. The screens are almost too bright on the highest level. You can use this thing as a torch. ;)

After so much trouble trying to get one of these, Play-Asia came through no problem. Only took 3 days to get to the UK and it's perfect, it totally owns the old model. Play-Asia are honest and totally professional so thanks to them for bringing me my DS Lite!!! I can't recommend them highly enough!!!

Although Nintendo had trouble getting the lite produced fast enough play asia got it to me in OH in 1 1/2 days after my preorder arrived in their warehouse. Excellent Work Play Asia. Now for the DS Lite itself, all you questioning whether it will be worth it if you already have a ds, I have done my own side by side and yes it is not only worth it but negates the reason to even hang on to your old ds, there is that much of a difference.
