description
In A Link to the Past, Link travels between the Light World and the Dark World, conquering fierce monsters and uncovering Hyrule's deepest secrets along the way. It's one of Link's most challenging adventures of all time!

What makes Four Swords so fun is the communication and cooperation it requires between the players. As few as two players can work their way through the game together, but it's infinitely more fun with a full roster. The dungeon puzzles have been designed to demand that multiple heroes solve problems and slash foes together, but even as you cooperate, you compete against your friends to see who can collect the most Rupees. The ensuing action is pure multiplayer bliss.

The more you play Four Swords, the more of Four Swords there is. Every time you play, the dungeons are different than the last time you plundered them. Four Swords creates a dungeon level by randomly selecting a dungeon setting -- a vast area with many set challenges -- then dropping a randomly selected new dungeon part into it. As you gain more keys and experience, obstacles become more challenging and levels become more difficult. There are dozens of settings and parts available for each separate area, so you'll always be challenged with new dungeon levels!

One of the best Zelda games, portable
This version of A Link to the Past is the same game that was released for the SNES (with minimum changes), but also adds a cool multiplayer games, which maybe not many people experienced, since it required 3 link cables, 4 consoles and 4 games to get the most out of it. I player it for 2 players, and i'm pretty sure with 4 it would be even better.
Its really fun and it has a competitive/cooperative nature, that not many games have.

Hopefully, Nintendo will make another game like this for the Wii or Wii U, using DS and 3DS.

Because the original worked so well
It was good to see Nintendo go back to the original top-down frame-by-frame gameplay for "A Link to the Past." The simple format of the original 8-bit "The Legend of Zelda" on the NES was perfect and shouldn't have been changed for "Zelda II."

What makes this game great is the fact it's like an enhanced version of the original Zelda, with a vast, more detailed world and a great graphics engine. It took what worked before and improved upon it.

Overall, this is my second-favorite Zelda title behind The WindWaker.
