Asian Kung-Fu Generation is a rock band formed during its members' college days. What sets this band apart from other similar rock bands is their clever use of lyrics to address social issues and international news while keeping their work playful and upbeat.
Nano-Mugen Festival is hosted by Asian Kung-Fu Generation to promote rock music. As the host, Asian Kung Fu Generation composed a new song Natsu Zemi (Summer Cicadas) which they used as an opener for this CD. Other well loved rock bands like Ellegarden and 9 mm Parabellum Bullets have participated in the festival and their works are included in this CD as well.
This compilation CD is a good buy for rock fans who wants to scout out new favorites as they can get a taste of the distinctive flavor of all 16 bands in one CD.
