After publishing her Spring Album I Loved Yesterday, YUI released Summer Song. This track is a sequel to its Spring counterpart Laugh Away and tells the story of a crucial time for young people, especially students, the last few days before summer vacations.
The song is carried by a light hearted melody coupled with a relaxing tempo, and to give the listeners the full message the young singer/song writer is trying to convey, an acoustic version of Laugh Away is recorded into the single as well.
