Amano Ai is a new Japanese Idol gaining high popularity among otakus and video gamers as she considers herself a true Akiba girl. She is obsessed with video games, vinyl figures, toys and even hentai games.
Her idol name comes from the legendary manga "Video Girl AI". Amano recently appeared in TV commercials and TV shows (like Pussuma) as well as in Japanese gravure magazines like Beppin School (September issue contains Ai Chan's poster). She is also one of the rare Japanese idols who has been featured in non Japanese magazines. She works as as photographer under the name Julie and has published a photobook called "Samurai Girl".
