Although not as good as SH1,2,3, but defintely a title worth playing for horror fans.

Most creepy and frightening of the four games
The dialogue is in English but you have a choice of English or Japanese subtitles. This is the game to play if you want to be frightened. It is also the most difficult of the four games in that there is only one save spot…and during the later half of the game it is no longer safe. There is reference to the previous game. If you have a completed game save from SH3 some of the dialogue is different. There are numerous references and characters from previous games.

The most creepy, scariest, frightening game of the series.
If that is what you want this is the game for you. This game is difficult and frustrating since there is only one game save location. Some of the creatures in this game cannot be killed.

Fully English...
This item is a real gem, EVERYTHING is in English - the default ingame text language, plus the case insert and the manual. Thanks Play-Asia for this bargain!

If you want a game that is frightning, unnerving, frustrating, irritating, and difficult (in approximately that order) this game will give you a run for your money.

This is the best or worst of the Silent Hill franchise.

Good, but not the best
silent hill 4 the room brings forth a new feature on the series: the first person view in the room itself. even though it is not the best of the series since it lacks the chance of figuring out the gaps of the story by yourself, it's worth the money

Very enjoyable
I've had the chance to test it, enough to express some judgement. The dynamics and the overall controls are quite changed, if compared to the series' trademarks.
They appear a tad sloppy, just a bit unconfortable.

I've noticed some incongruences with the shadows, but on the whole it's got excellent graphics.
So far, it's rather enjoyable, anyway.

The enddless Nightmare
Silent hill 4 its the most innovative Silent hill. The game has a great story and the soundtracks are amazing! As silent hill fan, I'm very proud of this game.

Not the best of the SH series, but still a Silent Hill Game! So don't miss this great stuff! Especially the musics, and updated gameplay of SH4 is worth the money. Unfortunately the controls are not for SH fans...

I live in Mexico City, and I loved that this game came out also in English! Everything:the menus, files, subtitles; the 1st person perspective is quite interesting meanwhile you're investigating bizarre events outside "your room"; I suggest this game 100% not only to the fans, but also the new comers, if you like survival horror ... good story, excellent graphics now better than never, chilly environment, spectral sounds... a master piece! Play it with your lights off... if you dare!

Silent Hill 4: The Room
Great game overall, Silent Hill 4 is more action oriented than it's 3 predicessors. This can be a great relief for those who are new to the Survival Horror genre or just those who get frustrated with puzzles. This game strays away from the others with its method of exploration but if you read the game synopsis you should know that. Great game deserves much respect.

I ordered it and will delay to play it AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! Just keeping it makes such an excitement! I'm huge SH fan, it's simply the best videogame.
And this version came out also in ENGLISH, I love that!!! Absolutely 5/5. Recommended!

i like the silent hill series i think it is definately an acuired taste but if you like resident evil you will like this, personally i love scary games.
