The Famitsu Wave is Japan's No.1 selling video game magazine. It features all the latest video game news and pictures from Japan's upcoming video games.
Each magazine includes a DVD disc with video game footage. The DVD disc is NTSC Region 2 encoded.
Great coverage I love Famitsu and their coverage for big named titles like Final Fantasy XIII. There are four pages dedicated to FFXIII in this issue (Nov 2009) and a cool TGS trailer. Also article and notable gameplay trailer for MGS Peace Walker for the PSP and some for FFXIV.
Awesome coverage on the DVD Each month the guys from Famitsu bring us excellent coverage through the DVD that comes with this mag. The mag itself is rather thing, but there is usually around 2 hours or more of coverage on the 2 DVDs that come with it filled with the latest trailers, interview for the featured game, game challenges, strategies, and all other sorts of quirky and funny things that they do each month. Obviously it's all in japanese, but you still get a good idea of what is going on. Definitely worth it!
Nice coverage on monster hunter It's funny, whenever I buy Famitsu Wave DVD it's always near Monster Hunter promo or release, and so is this time. Monster Hunter (MH) seems always become hype in japanese, and so it is when MH G is released. This time the coverage convinced me to buy MH Freedom Unite to taste new monster collection.
I hope one day Enterbrain will subtitle their DVDs, so we all can understand the articles better.
As always, brilliant! Famitsu hasn't let me down in the last 2 years of buying them, and coming to the end of another year of Famitsu, it's still comical Japanese gaming goodness. Even if you can't understand the language, this is spot on.
