protection is the base if you opt to protect (mainly) toch screen THIS the option, with 2 sheets protectors and a super-duper-price. Don't doubt skip the scratch is basic

No title 1. These protective seals have stickers on both back (protection of the protective seal) and front (the real protective seal). It's almost impossible to get them off without permanent markings!
2. Very soft and scratchable. Not durable at all.
I recommend buying better protective seal (e.g. by HORI).

new review okay, I originally wrote a crappy review for this product but I just realized today it was human error and not the filters themselves which made them crappy. I'd put the darn things on backwards. To be honest, I partly blame the instructions. They lable the filters "top" and "bottom" screen protectors, clear enough. Then they label each probetor "front" and "back". I had assumed the "front" was the side facing the player and the "back" was the side facing into the ds. Well, when I put them on this way, the bottom screen protector got scratched up within minutes of playing. It got so bad that little particles started to flake off of the bottom. It finally occured to me that maybe I'd put them on backwards. I've just flipped them, keeping the top on top and the bottom on bottom, and presto, a thousand times better. I was going to order the Hori ones but now I'm going to give this brand another chance and order a new set. I have no idea if they were labled backwards or if that's the way they were supposed to be labeled so if you buy them, remember one side will feel smoother than the other. The slightly tackier side is the one that touches your ds. Good luck.

Too soft It doesn't take a lot of pressure to scratch this up. I just bought this and after twenty minutes of playing a game, the bottom screen protector was full of noticable scratches. I also had a lot of bubbles, even though I put it on in the bathroom after running a hot shower to get rid of the dust. I guess there's just no way to get a real dust free environment. My star rating is based mostly on the scratches though and not the bubbles which I blame myself for. Once I have the ds turned on, I don't see the bubbles or scratches as much unless the screen goes dark but it's still disappointing to see how easily it gets scratched. I am going to buy the Hori screen protectors now and see how they compare.

Different protectors, same problems I don't know about the three users below me, but the complains in this product are no different from HORI's. Once the dust gets into the seals, you can't remove them, and the dusts are extremely noticable when in a lighted room. Overall, it was an unsatisfying way to spend 4 dollars.
Then again, the product IS four dollars, so anyone buying this won't lose much dough, and the end result could be way different from mine's. Still, I can't ignore the irks I have with it (for all I know, though, I could be create those irk), so all I can do is recommend this product WITH EXTREME CARE.

Not bad I have some queries about this product that I hope you don'tmind answering.........
1) Does it have covers for both screens?
2) Does the Top screen coover reduce glare like the Hori one?
3) How does the it affect the friction/sensitivity of the touch screen?
4) Does it produce any rainbow affects?
5) Hows the durability?

Questions. I'm stuck between getting this or the Hori ones.
1. How is the touchscreen sensitivity/friction?
2. Does it scratch easily?
3. Is this for both the screens or just the touch screen?

Best I've tried for the DSL I bought this and the Hori DS Lite screen protectors, and this one is BETTER than the Hori one.
This one is easier to apply and reapply than the Hori one, and it doesn't leave a residue like the Hori one did.
The Hori seems to be slightly thicker, which is good for durability, but bad for the touch sensitivity and graphics. The Hori one gave a slightly milk and rainbow effect for me.
The only word of warning I can give when applying aside from dust removal is be sure to center it in the touch screen!
If you accidentally center it to one side and get it under the plastic lip at the edge of the touch screen it will cause the screen to think it is constantly being "touched" there. So you're touch screen is effectively disable. This applies to all screen protectors and not just the SPS though.

Works very well Let's go through the benefits of this screen protector:
1. No residue (static-based)
2. Reusable
3. Fits very nicely
4. Does not impede gameplay
5. Does not distort graphics
I can't think of a single reason to choose anything else.

Soft Protective Seal Nintendo DS Lite The best protectore I ever used, The liquid crystal filter
is to small, and gets residue on your screens, protective seal fits perfect and does not get residue on
the screens. they last forever, there great.
|Simply the best screen protector for your DS| Trust me, it has the best surface to run your stylus across, the " feeling " when touching is much better than with the others screen protectors and VERY easy application to both screens, you won't see any bubble on them.
Good Touchscreenprotection It is a good protection for the touchscreen. If you put it on, you don't see any scratch anymore. To play with it is ok. There are minimal rainbow effects, but they don't bother you and you don't see them, when you are playing. The touchscreen still can be used, but I got a little bit the feeling that the precision is a little bit worse. But still pretty good and enough for playing with it.
OK I agree with beejayzed, it IS a rainbow pattern.
But it does not bother me at all. I forgot about it about 5 secounds after I started playing. But of course, others might not.
And why does everybody whine about how hard it is to apply?
I don't have a single airbubble on any screen!
Terrible now, good before I bought some of these back in february and they were excellent. Good feel, and the picture was clear.
It seems they have changed though. I ordered some of these recently, and when I applied the touch screen protector it was horrible. It made the picture seem greasy with a rainbow pattern on it.
I got two, and they were both the same... horrible waste of money.
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly This review is for the touch screen protective seal only
The Good: This protective seal is very easy to apply to your bottom screen. Seems very durable, fits the screen nice. Also, comes with a handy little card to allow for you to apply it alleviating the seal of any air bubbles. And if that wasn't enough, it comes with a nice cleaning cloth.
The Bad: Not a very smooth surface to run your stylus across. Also, at times, I find that my actions are not always responsive when using the stylus, meaning, this protective seal could be a bit too thick (I find this the case mostly when playing 'Meteos')
The Ugly: This protective seal makes the colors of your screen look very grainy and... well, "ugly." Not so bad to be a hindrance during gameplay, but a noticable difference when comparing to the top screen clarity
Take this for what it's worth... but without a doubt better than the Pelican brand seal. I will probably try Hori when it comes to the States later in the Fall.
good for its price just got it today in my mail, the protectors have a nice smooth feeling to it but the way it make the colours go weird disappoints me a little. but still a worthy purchase considering its cheap price
Quite good quality - a recommendation for the touchscreen! The bottom screen protector fits perfectly left to right, but it's a little smaller top to bottom (yet it is enough to cover the pixeled areas). After applying it on, it looks and feels great and I do not have to worry a tiny bit about scratching the touchscreen at all. For the top screen, I did not put on the protector because the color will then be very distorted (it is ok for the touchscreen, but not the top screen -- I'm planning to buy Hori for the top screen). This product is still a recommendation; the quality is quite good.
*** I got the bottom screen on perfectly: Use a big piece of clear packaging tape (make it not too sticky by taping it on ur hand 3 times -- so you won't damage ur original screen) then use it to tape out the dust and fully cover the screen. Remove when you're ready to put on the SPS. Using the soft card is a must, everything should turn out nice & perfect.
Great bottom screen protector These are the best protectors for the bottom touch screen on the NDS. They are very easy to apply and hide all scratches on the lower screen (I had several bad scratches on my DS and they just disappeared when I applied this protector to my bottom screen). It also makes for a better smooth feel with the stylus on the bottom screen. The top screen protector was a little too dithered for my taste, so I used the Hori screen protectors on the top screen. However, well worth the price just for the bottom screen protector!!! 5 stars!
good feel bad look i really like the feel of the protectors but i don't like how they distort the colors.
the protectors seem to be refractive so you'll have a slightly greasy image with rainbow stripes...
Love it! This screen protector is amazing. I can't speak to the Hori protectors because I've never tried them, but I love the Soft Protective Seal. They were very easy to apply and came with clear picture instructions. The touch screen protector is excellent. Perfect image quality and a nice texture surface that really makes using the stylus a joy. The first time I used my DS after applying the protectors I got a high score in Yoshi Touch n' Go. The glare protection is also great. Very effective. I'm 110% happy with my purchase. You can't go wrong with these.
Good, but apply with care... The good news: once these are on, you can remove them easily with the included plastic card and no residue will be left on your DS. They look pretty good and will not interfere with the touch screen's capabilities.
The bad news: they attract lint and fingerprints like Wilt Chamberlain attracts the ladies. I *strongly* suggest applying these with latex gloves in a lint free environment (try running your bathroom shower for ten minutes with the doors closed to knock lint out of the air.)
Best feel, Easy Clean I have both these and the official HORI protectors.
These Are far superior:
Excellent 'teflon' feel for better control than an unprotected DS
These will also hide any scratches, and are easily washable.
They are the best These are the best protective foils you can buy, washable, antireflective, easy to put in... If you misplace them you can remove them and they will stick anyway!
