DISGAEA AFTERNOON OF DARKNESS
a perfect "desert-island" game: so many different modes to play, an expanded story (beyond the PS2 original), and a vast number of customizations. the graphics don't really push the PSP, but every bit of memory on the UMD has been used to pack the game full of gameplay and character-building. the story is fun, very funny and weird (also, both japanese and english voice options are available). the music is reminiscent of a tim burton movie, and really adds to the atmosphere. i'd only warn potential buyers that getting into this game is more like taking on a new hobby. if you're prepared for the investment in time that it takes to learn all its ins and outs, then you'll find this a really enjoyable experience.

Some complaints:
Class designs aren't varied
No overworld
Story mode too short

It's still a great game.

Great game + additional mode = longer playing hours. And you can play it on the train. Need I say more?

I loved the original Disgaea on PS2 and thi version has even more!
