RESISTANCE RETRIBUTION
this game is very very good, but it does get pretty repetitive after a while. the game follows the structure of the psp syphon filter games very closely. the main missions have lots of hidden extras strewn around, and after completing any mission, you can replay it to unlock a ton of behind-the-scenes features by completing challenges. the gameplay differs from the syphon filter games by chucking the stealth element for straight-up combat. using cover plays a part to some degree, but the fact that the enemy always knows where you are, and you're basically just blasting away at them contributes to the repetitiveness. the controls are solid, and the environments are interesting and beautiful. but you may find yourself wanting to put the game aside for long stretches and pop in something else for some variety.
