description
A planet called Meteos has started to explode. Fragments of the planet become and endless stream of meteors, putting your planet in peril. There's only one means of saving the planet. Send the falling meteors back into space with the power of the Nintendo DS -- use the touch pen to move blocks around the play field, as lining up three or more of the same color blocks either horizontally or vertically will group the blocks together into a clump and go flying back into space to help stop the onslaught of debris. Meteos is produced by Tetsuya Mizuguchi of Space Channel 5 fame, and is designed by Masahiro Sakurai of Nintendo's HAL Laboratories.

Best ACTION puzzle game
Meteos seems to be the best ACTION puzzle game for Nintendo DS. There are some other great puzzle games like Picross, Polarium or Sudoku, but none of them is as dynamic or depending on quick reactions as Meteos.

Must-Have
If you own a DS you owe it to yourself to get Meteos. It's a little puzzle game that's pretty easy to grasp, yet challenging to master. It makes full use of the touch screen as you use the stylus to line up meteos in rows and columns as they fall. It's fast and frantic, along with a superb presentation. There are tons of different planets (levels) with their own unique designs and own laws of gravity (force pulling on the meteos). It looks real pretty, and sounds great too. The multiplayer is also superb; once you launch meteos they are sent to attack your opponent. Having 3 and 4 way battles can get extremely frantic, exciting, and just plain fun; no matter if you're playing your friends or the computer.
Is it up there with the likes of Tetris? You betcha. Once you pick this baby up, you won't be able to put it down.

Hard to find flaws here
With excellent design and near perfect execution (slight stuttering in the final level) this a game every Nintendo DS owner must have or at least try. Easily offers 25-75 hours of enjoyment.

Astronimicaly fantastic
5 stars! this game is fantastic it truly takes the spot as best puzzle game on DS. Mr.driller is great polarium ok but meteos destroys the competition outright with great gameplay, catchy music & the most addictive game I have yet played on the DS my battery is constantly drained playing this top puzzler. As sure as a DS comes with a stylus all DS'S should come with a copy of this game. must have for all DS owners!.
