It's been more than 20 years since Super Mario Bros. first arrived, and now Mario and Luigi are back in an all-new platformer for Nintendo DS. Boasting incredible 3D graphics to accompany classic 2D gameplay, this fast-paced adventure will have Mario fans cheering.
New Super Mario Bros. features eight all-new worlds, each filled with extra levels, hidden paths, and secrets galore. It's possible to complete the game without visiting every world, which means you'll have to track down many alternate exists to visit every nook and cranny in the game.
New Super Mario Bros. What is says on the tin.
It's Super Mario Bros. and it's New.
Doesn't have the wonderful level design of Super Mario World, but well worth having for fans of SMB and platformers alike
A great handheld game.

a good game it,s a good game with great graphics, alltrough i believe that those graphics are 3d rendered in a simular way like donkeykongcounmtry eccept the enemy,s are true 3d.
also the music,s are great and like mario world and marioland 2 there,s are manny remixes of the #1 level music etc,,also the sound efeect,s are cool including the classical soundeffect,s with new one,s and are all digitalezed ,no more noise ennymore.
the gameplay feels exactly like the old classic mario games ,+ including new items like the koopashell the big toud etc,
the mini games are really great including one with the absolutely great remix music of the last kastel in supermariobros, also i like the game wich you have to blow yoshi away into the skey by blowing into the mic,
but i don,t see why there,s no luigi inthe game itself will luigi in on average appears inthe remake of sm54 ds also i don,t understand why they never use that mini game wich make use of the mic in sm64ds.
the levels are mostly very short and easy to beat however there are levels wich are very hard to beat, but i dit beat the game within 7day,s including all secret world,s and levels.
the game is a mix of smb1/3,marioworld and mario64, elements. and menny element,s are translated from 3d to 2d but the game is finely based on supermariobros 1 with great new knowing themas like the desert, iceland etc,,
there,s a multiplayer stand but you get only acces in the 4 designed level not in the real game unfortunetely.
so all in aal it,s a great game for old and new one ,s but my favorite mario game will be steel supermario bros3 and supermario world.!!!!

Picks up down the road When first playing, you may be disappointed by the lack of flying. However, through progression, and re-plays, the true scope of the game is brought out.
Immensely addictive, and with a couple of frustratingly hard parts (for those completionist out there), this game is highly recommended.
Great Game Good Fun Everyone knows Mario Bros. This remake/revamp of the earliest titles with a few improvements is a great intro for newcomers and a great revisit for old timers. I loved it. The giant Mario was a blast.
As for the gameplay, I had no problems with it at all, the controls are easy, the visuals and music are great, and while it may be on the short side and not super difficult to beat, neither of these points count as negatives in my book.
Get it!

The Music (Such swiiiiiiiit (sweet) Mucic)

Good but not Great Somewhat dissapointed with this title. Was looking for something very fresh and exicting and sadly this game didn't offer that.
The game is way too easy to clock! Enjoyable game but not as great as previous Mario platformer such as Super Mario World.

Disappointment NSMB is not exactly the game that most reviewers say it is. It's rather a disappointing fact that this game does not live up to its 'Mario-esque' quality. The thing that strikes me most is that the game does NOT allow you to save your game at your own whim and fancy. Instead, it asks you to finish the last castle in World 8 in order to allow you to save at your pleasure. If not, you are forced to use the golden coins you obtain through the stages of the game.
The controls is also another problematic feature of the game. It's not exactly loose but it isn't exactly tight either. That makes it all the worse as Mario games require a responsive control. Compared to Super Mario World, this game's control by far is the worse in all Mario game history.
And oh, if you're an amateur gamer, be warned - this game might end up a terrifying, frightful experience (especially concerning those irritating regenerative crows and spiders).
But then again, this game does offer some redemptive experiences. The graphics for one is a joy to look at, though not at the same level as Yoshi's Island. I don't regret buying this game, but don't let the hype regarding this game be the reason you purchase this game. If you're a expert gamer, I recommend you to buy it. If not, just stay clear of this game.
