In ages past, an island called Illusia floated at the center of the world. At the heart of the island towered an ancient, enormous tree that stretched up to the very heavens. For ages past, chaos and sorrow had engulfed the world until at last its salvation appeared in the form of a boy, a girl, and a holy sword.
Time flowed on and peace returned. The sword and the tree remained, and they soon came to be known as the Sword of Mana and the Mana Tree. Followers of the Mana Tree returned to Illusia as the world started slowly but surely down the path to recovery.
Good game It´s a good game but can get a little repetitive at times.
But it offers some nice fun, and the grafics are very beautiful too!

good fun.... after the first hour gets boring let alone as you progress through the game you realize nothing is different apart from the monsters you see.

Ok for a while Gameplay is in the following cycle: Get a mission/storyline goal, go out and bash monsters, see short scene, return to village, repeat. It's an ok game, takes up your time but it does get repetitive quickly.
Hitting monsters can cause them to bounce off walls, objects and you. You then ricochet off them, walls and objects. Does get a bit irritating but can be avoided if you're careful. A bit like pinball.
The story is ok, youth or well-travelled person stopping evil in the aftermath of a horrible disaster involving mana. Best things are the character designs, music and anime styled story cutscenes.
I recommend to borrow it first. If you like it, buy it. I haven't tried multiplayer as it requires your friends to also have a cartridge but I've read it makes your adventuring a bit more fun.
