The DS is perfect for Pokemon Pokemon Diamond is one of the best games on the DS, whether you're a newcomer to the series or an experienced veteran. The battle system has been tweaked a bit, with new abilities, attacks, and the first real distinguishing between Physical and Special moves.
The game also allows you to transfer Pokemon from the GBA games like Emerald and LeafGreen, which really helps, because there's 493 Pokemon this time around.
You'll have plenty to play in Pokemon Diamond. Contests have gotten a massive overhaul, including new events. The new battle system makes real use of a Pokemon's stats, and strategies have changed. New monsters to collect and trade with friends add a whole new meaning to "Gotta Catch 'em All", and the competitive metagame is deep, whether you're training with advanced things like Effort Values, breeding, or anything.
The game's graphics are gorgeous, though nothing compared to the remake, Pokemon Platinum. Sound quality is also good, and a lot of the themes are catchy as the dickens.
The plot seems slightly re-hashed from the Hoenn region, and some areas are bland, but overall, this game's a near-perfect DS adventure.
nr.1 pokemon is so nice. like the others i have enjoyed this pokemon game. and pokemon platium is VERY nice too.any pokemonfan MUST OWN IT diamond or pearl. both are nice.
IT ROCKS no doubt the best game for DS (though Pokemon Platinum is way better)its a must buy for all pokemon fans im not kidding,i love it my self,if you buy it you'll be in heaven no lie :)

Best Pokemon Game EVER I can't believe how much fun this game is! I, like many others here, have grown up playing the Pokemon games, so when I picked up this game, I thought it'd be just like the classics. Guess what? I was completely wrong!
With lots of new Pokemon, new features, great side missions and awesome graphics, this game will have you absolutely hooked. I'm not kidding you, I've played it for almost 40 hours now and I've only had the game for 5 days!
If you must buy one game for your DS, I highly suggest you buy this one! I guarantee you won't regret it!

Perhaps the number one game on DS This game will keep you amused for hours and eventually interupt your sleeping pattern! Though make sure if you're going to pull an allnighter you do it on the weekend! Right from the beginning of this game i played nonstop. Wifi Battles and trades are amazing and you can een upload your old pokemon. So i could use my Charizard again! I Have to say to the customer, if you havent already bought this game then buy it now! You must own it!!!

Pokemon Diamond Is The Best So Far! I just got Diamond about 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I have to say this is the best Pokemon game I have ever played and the largest library of monsters than any game EVER made. I really didn't believe some of the things that I have heard about this game, they sounded too surreal and good to be true. I really enjoyed playing Pokemon Diamond.
I think it𠏋 a perfect game, really extraordinaire but then again that𠏋 me being a Pokemon Fan for years. They couldn't have done much to improve Diamond, it𠏋 that good. I love going underground, that is truly spectacular. The graphics for the whole game was absolutely wonderful.
What I thought was very cool was the use of Wi-Fi which meant I could play it online against people worldwide. I also liked the Wi-Fi clubs. The voice chat is just so cool. I𠐔e really liked all of the Pokemon games so far. But this game was probably the best. The new legendaries are wicked, it𠏋 cool looking and pretty awesome in battle. I LOVE this game.
For all Pokefans this game is just hard to put down. I highly recommend this game for any and every one with a Nintendo DS/ Lite, this is one game that you can just pick up, learn, play, and enjoy playing for hours and hours. There is just SO much to do on this game, it𠏋 like all the Pokemon games in one with extra new features I can actually confidently guarantee you that you will love this game.

Awesome This game has got a new makeover,This game is pretty long easily it might take you 50+ Hours to beat the elite 4 also they added alot of new features including wifi and the multiplayer is great a must have for any pokemon fan.

Totally Awesome The graphics at the start frustrated me and made me slightly dizzy ... but after fifteen minutes or so of game play and you begin to realise how beautiful they really are.
One thing that is amazing me is how long the game play is. Traditionally, pokemon games have been about 20 hours long (from getting your first pokemon to defeating elite four), yet somehow with diamond, it has taken me 11-12 hours of play to reach three badges, due to the massive number of areas to explore and people to talk to, minigames etc.

Pokemon does it again. Although there's not a whole lot that's changed in terms of gameplay, Gamefreak have managed to make Diamond/Pearl refreshing with the new batch of Pokemon, and a ton of mini games - Underground, Contests, etc. Add on to that the fact that you can connect via Wi-fi to trade or battle, and you have a gem right there.
Awesome game Refinement of the same winning formula of addictive RPG battle gameplay as previous Pokemon games, but now with wi-fi play and trading. Difficult to stop playing!

Excellent It maintains the gameplay of the original pokemon games with fantastic 3D graphics. What's more now you can connect with anyone from anywhere as long as you hook up the wifi connection =) I'm so glad i bought Pokemon Ranger as well cause now I can transfer Manaphy over from my Pokemon Ranger to my Pokemon Diamond. Overall, great game for old and new Pokemon trainers out there. Gotta catch em all!

Yet another great Pokemon game. Nintendo have done extremely well in making this game, It plays great and looks fantastic. A nice feature is the Pal Park, it's where you can transfer your old pokemon from the GBA to the DS.
Pokemon Pearl Rocks!! This game is soo cool I haven't stopped playing it until now ( I forgot to charge and I have to wait until I can play it some more later :D).
The only one thing that bothered me was the fact that you HAD to beat the elite four in order to get your older pokemon in Pearl or Diamond at the Pal Park. You can only upload 6Pokemon a day for each GBA Cartridge.
Pokemon Diamond This game is awesome if you're a pokemon fan you'll love this game. It introduces some new pokemon and new pokemon evolutions. You can trade pokemon with ruby, sapphire, Etc. As a bonus if you have pokemon ranger once you complete the game of pokemon ranger and get the manaphy egg you can transfer it to diamond or pearl. Its a great game for pokemon fans to import.
I orgasmed a little when I opened the box. The best Pokemon game since GSC, I, personally love this game. The difference in language only became a slight barrier about three or four times during play, since most of the difficulty in pokemon is battling, and if you know how to do it in English, you can do it any any other language. So... Yeh, this is DEFFINATLY worth importing/buying. And I can't wait for the English version to come out. Woo!
English player playing Japanese game... ... and I couldn't love it any more! Whether I can understand it or not, Pokemon Diamond is one of the best games I've played in a long while. And having been with Pokemon since it's outset with Red and Green/Blue, and seeing the transformation it's taken since then, the Diamond/Pearl series is absolutely perfect! The touch screen is utilized perfectly, and the graphics are just absolutely stunning! The perfect game for the perfect handheld.
Its real fun to play this game is real fun =) i think all u people that dont no if u should get it or not if you dont want it in Jap. the english version is coming april 22, 2007

Best Pokemon Game to date This is the best pokemon game to date, i've played atleast one game from each gen and i have to say this game has the most creative pokemon.

WHY?! I just got this game and it's awesome! If you've ever played Pocket Monsters than the Japanese text won't matter. But WHY?! won't it come out in the U.S. until summer or even later in 2007... This won't be out for at least 6 months so I think you should only buy one version either Pearl or Diamond. After all you no longer need to buy both versions since pocket monsters missing from one version can be traded for via WiFi. All in all a must have game for the holidays and one of the best additions to the DS library. Buy this game you won't regret it! :-)
Best game for Nintendo This is the greatest pokemon game since Gold, Silver, and Crystal version. 493 pokemon, man that is alot! This game may be in Japanese, (i kinda wish it was in english already) but still this game is easy to understand. I'm at the 5th gym, i can't wait to catch Lucario. If you want to play the best game in the world, I recomend this.

You'd think that with 493 Pokemon the game would lose quality but you couldn't be more wrong, so what if it's in Japanese you can easily understand the game it's just that simple to get the idea of. Could this game be one of the greatest DS games ever? It could well be.
Diamonds Are Brilliant, So Is This Game It's a complete work of art; every Pokémon fan's dream come true in this exciting new RPG, which brings the total number of Pokémon to 493 with the Pokémon of Sinnoh. Excellent plotline, graphics, and gameplay. Everything is so rich and beautiful, including the music, which is phenomenal. The colors are especially vibrant on the DS Lite, where one can appreciate the scenery of Sinnoh at its best. It was worth every single cent I spent. You will not regret buying this game, even if you don't understand Japanese (I recommend referring to the walkthroughs at GameSpot, IGN, etc.). Battling and menus are made easier with symbols, making them more accessible, even if you don't speak the language, or are illterate. Everything is so easy to understand and appreciate that you will make yourself at home with the region of Sinnoh and the DS' ability to connect to Wi-Fi where you can trade with anyone on the GTS and challenge anyone to a battle, including your friends. Transferring and GBA cartridge events are region locked (that's the only letdown if you're importing). An overall excellent game with depth and hard work put into it by GameFreak. Rating: 10/10
No Japanese Required I bought this game with no ability to speak or read Japanese. It is easy to figure out the menus etc just by having played the previous pokemon games. Highly recommended as they won't hit EU/US for a long time

pokemon ok, so this is the best game ever! it is like the older versions, except better graphics and gear. Though it is in Japenese characters, it is extremely easy to interpret! There is over 25 new pokemon, and is just the best game i have ever played ( i own 54 games)

Must have for all RPG or Pokemon fans! Sure it's in Japanese, but theres so many icons and numbers with a little trial and error you can figure everything out. Theres like only 4 Kanji in the game, which are very basic ones (money, month, day, year). This game is good and long, and all of the Wi-Fi features are great! The voice chat works perfectly! Everything comes out clear just like you're talking over a phone! All of the sprites and new features are awesome, I highly reccommend this to RPG players and make this a MUST BUY for ANY Pokemon fan.
Ultimate Pok幦on Games Game Freak said they wanted to make Diamond and Pearl the ultimate Pokémon games, and they succeeded.
You're able to catch over 400 of the 493 Pokémon in this game alone, and connecting with older GBA games and trading over your old Pokémon through Pal Park is incredible.
3D/2D graphics, great stereo sound, breathtaking music, excellent game play. What more would you want?
Not to mention it's Wi-Fi, so you can hook up with your friends online, or wirelessly in real life, and trade, talk through voice chat, battle, or mix records! So worth it.
And to you who think it's more of the same? The battle system has been greatly updated, with moves now being physical or special, meaning Thunderpunch is now a physical move that falls under the Attack stat, but still retains its Electric-type category. Things just got a whole lot better.
I can't really list every new thing here, but if you'd go check out some reviews on other websites, you'd see that Diamond and Pearl are THE ultimate Pokémon games. Think of all the best features of Crystal (day/afternoon/night, time, swarms, Pokétch (the new PokéGear)) and Emerald (too much to mention), along with a bunch of new features, and you've got yourself the ultimate Pokémon game -- known as Pokémon Diamond and Pearl!

Amazing!!! My copy of Diamond arrived today in the mail! And let me tell you, this game is AMAZING!! The graphics, music, gameplay, all amazing! I reccommend this to any PoKemaniac! Great interface!! Even if you don't know japanese, you will be able to play with it!! That's because the game interface has a lot of icons (like pokeballs, potions, keys...) that make it easy to play.
And if you have played with other Pokemon games (Sapphire or Ruby), you will enjoyed it more because the mechanics is the same!! Order it now!!
Don't know any japanese... i don't know a single word of japanese but is till ordered it because it looks soooo good and each pokemon game has the same basis so it wont be that difficult...just wish it came out in english already!

A Good Start from DS The graphics are only slightly better with Perspective Field Screening when you're walking, interacting NPCs etc. But overall, you would still be getting the graphics & sounds similar to the previous 'Pocket Monster' (Pokemon) Gameboy Advance releases. Still, the game sums up by adding new features that is superior to the previous releases from Gameboy Advance. The game now allows players to use the touch screen when you're selecting commands in battle and going through menus such as the item menu. Also with the new Wi-Fi feature, players can now interact, trade & battle "Online" with other players.
OMG! POKEMON IS BACK AND BETTER THEN EVER! After the advanced generation, Pokemon was starting to lose the magic it once had. But these two new games more then make up for the past games to come out in the last few years.
The Music is really good. It𠏋 much like the music in the Japanese Pokemon movies. The graphics are really nice as well; I would probably go as far to say it𠏋 the best looking 2D game on the system. And the new monsters are awesome; some of the really cute/goofy looking and the others look like they were pulled straight out of Digimon (That𠏋 not a bad thing.)
