One of the best games to come out this year
Mario and Luigi 3's combination of clever, funny dialogue, excellent art and animation, and its unique style of turn based battle (which allows you to still interact while the turns are taking place) makes it one of the most fun games in a long time. It's great to play a game that doesn't take itself seriously! Highly recommended.

Charming and funny. A great RPG.
This game is serious fun, taking on the roles of Mario & Luigi you know you're going to be in for a good time.

As a fan of the Bros. This was a must have.

I seriously recommend it for all DS owners.

Good writing, great gameplay and a good amount of content.
The game is pretty much the ideal "mario and luigi" game. It's rounded to let new players in and still amuse those with more experience.
The writing in sharp and there are plenty of nods to the hardcore Nintendo titles I keep hearing no longer exist.
The gameplay is smooth and creates wide range of tactics available. As you progress you'll have more and more access to equipment with a different advantages and bonuses.
The divide between playing as the brothers and playing as Bowser also helps keep the gameplay fresh.
Overall, it's a game with a lot of depth, sometimes the writing seems to drag out a bit but it's always worth it for the punchline. A great game that brings the series forward.

More fun with Bowser

Even if you don't have played the 2 predecessors this game will make you wanna play more!

This time you won't only be playing as Mario and Luigi but also as Bowser! And that means MEGA fun!

I loved the two previous games, but this third game is brilliant too, the attacks are awesome and the gameplay is simply addictive. One moment you will play as bowser, sucking in opponents in the battle, the next moment you will have to beat those in Bowser's belly, fighting as Mario and Luigi. It's brilliant. It's really simple: If you are looking for a fantastic game and you love RPG's, then this is the game you wanna have!

And be warned: this game can give you serious cramps: laughing hazard!

Great game but more suited for younger gamers
Positives:
Very effective controls and moves make the battles enjoyable and easy to navigate, with little frustration in terms of not being able to pull off the more advanced techniques later on.

The level design and integration of areas based on unlocking new skills and techniques works perfectly, with plenty of secret areas and items to be uncovered as you progress through the game.

The graphics and soundtrack are just as good as the previous games in the series and give a very vibrant and upbeat feel to the game.

The storyline is varied enough to keep you curious as to how things will finally work out with plenty of comedic moments throughout.

Negatives:
The overall difficulty isn't too high and once you work out how to counter your enemies' attacks in each area you'll probably take little or no damage as you navigate it.

The seemingly endless tutorials and explanations as you progress through the game may frustrate some gamers who would already know most of those details from having played earlier games in the series.

General:
The game as a whole probably can take up to 40 hours to fully complete it (i.e. find every secret item, reach over level 40 and complete all the challenges), but experienced gamers could probably make their way through it in half that time if they wanted to take out the exploratory parts of the game.
