OK so only charged and flattened once. Maybe improves with age?
Compared to my Sony 1800(2yrs old) my Sony 1800 still had 30% charge left when this one died. Charge time was roughly the same. No problem fitting in PSP so maybe they fixed that problem. Not impressed but at a 3rd of the official price can't complain TOO much! Get what you pay for?

Worst Piece of Shizzle... Ever
...for the PSP. I ordered one and it broke down on me after a few charges. Waste of 13 bucks. You're better off buy SONY products. Yeah the battery can work longer but it does kinda glitch out the power bar on your PSP, and even when it could say it is fully charged... BAM "Low Batt" screen and your data is gone :)

Really funky battery
Just got it recently and gave it a test run. Simply played some gundam seed, 333mhz till the battery "died". The running time compared to the stock battery is hardly different at all, maybe half an hour more. The psp also seems to have difficulty gauging how much power is actually left. It does seem to charge exceptionally quick, as a previous commenter stated, the battery shoots from dead to 50% in roughly 10 minutes, but after that it will charge like the sony battery itself, snails pace. Just go for the Sony brand.

I'll give it 4 stars because mine lasts seven hours on max brightness, there's a way to get the 4th brightness without it being plugged into the wall...and still seven hours.

What I don't understand is you guys who say the battery doesn't fit O.o...it fits fine! it's just a tad bigger than the crappy stock, but hey it's better! Trust me 15 bucks for this is a lot better than the stock.

I bought this due to the good reviews and had pretty high expectations for it.

My battery slot cover has a broken tab so I can't really comment on whether this battery makes it "stick out".

For the first test I compared it to the stock 1800mah PSP battery, set the brightness to maximum, volume to maximum, and looped the Sin City UMD until the battery died.

Stock: 3 hours 55 minutes
Mega: 3 hours 50 minutes

Recharged the battery and played Gurumin until it died, brightness at lowest setting, volume at a little under half.

Got 5 hours 45 minutes of playtime out of it, a far cry from the 8 hours some people are claiming and that's not even with the brightness and volume maxed and a UMD spinning up.

I haven't done a comparison test with Gurumin for the stock battery yet, maybe I'll update a little later with one.

On the plus side, the battery charges very quickly, it goes from dead to 100% in just over an hour. I haven't really paid attention to how long the stock battery takes to charge, but most reviews seem to put it at over 2.5 hours to fully charge.

I guess it's possible that the PSP is misreading the charge level of the battery and therefore cutting it short, but even if that's the case it's not like there's any way around it.

I still give it 4 stars though, even though it didn't last as long as I'd hoped it would, it pretty much matched the stock battery in the UMD stress test, and it gave over 5.5 hours of playtime with my typical settings. I think the $15 or so it cost me was worth it.

There are several batteries out there in a similar price range though, so whether it's really a good value I can't be too sure without giving some of those a spin, but I don't regret purchasing it.

Not Great
Sure you get extended battery life, but the battery doesn't fit right. I had to cram it in and apply a lot of pressure to get the battery cover on. When you don't have the battery cover on, the thing will just fall right out unlike the official Sony battery.

I like it, but it isn't something I'd recommend.

It only cost me $15.50 with shipping, and this thing lasts forever. I can play around 8 hours of games on my PSP which is overclocked to 333MHz. If you dont have overclocked PSP, it will last much longer. Good for long trips, only thing I can say is it makes the battery compartment pop out just a tiny bit, not even noticeable. 5/5 for me

battery sucks
thisbattery lasts for only 5 hours if u charge it to much the charge capacity goes down.it does not always work with psp i had to trade it in twice.just dont buy this product.

A real 'Bunny' killer...
...runs files from stick 7 - 9 hrs ...but if you routinely use your PSP that long, maybe you should find another hobby (Well, that's what people tell me.) About those auto shutdowns... my stock batt does the same - but only when running on AC. Happens using either UMD or stick

Great Battery...very minor issues
Great battery, I've noticed about an hour of extra time even when playing at 333MHz, nothing but satisfaction...unless you are trying to use a homebrew program that checks battery powers, rarely the battery doesn't report how much time is left, thus the PSP recognizes it as 0%, the PSP doesn't shut off but its a hassle for updating. Anyway, it's a good battery and shipping was quick, I recieved the battery in about a week.

I bought this battery to replace the standard PSP one thinking it would give me more power. And while it does some things don't make sense. For example I'll be at 50% charge and the PSP just shuts off indicating low power status?! I don't even get the system warning (blinking low battery status) just a straight shutdown and I must recharge. I would approach this battery with caution and perhaps get the Sony version. Yes it costs more, but maybe there's a reason ;)
