description
A year after release of the popular DJ simulation game, Pentavision does thousands of fans a big favor and releases its successor. Once again, the game resembles Konami's popular beatmania series: You take the position as DJ and are challenged to hit the correct button(s) on your PSP™ handheld at the right time to complete the song.

DJ Max Portable 2 introduces one more gameplay mode and offers a song selection of more than 60 tunes. In the new Fever Mode, you fill up your Fever ability which, when activated, speeds up the notes and applies a 2x score multiplier. By filling up yet another Fever, you can activate it again for a 3x multiplier, so on and so forth.

The game supports various difficulty modes, a language selection (to switch between Korean, English and Japanese), 4, 5, 6 and 8-button modes, a network mode and lots more.

Just like its predecessor, the soundtrack collection is stored on the UMD. You can play back and listen to the soundtrack without playing the game. The game also contains a DJ Max Portable (1) connectivity mode, which allows you to play old songs on DJ Max 2.

    Endless Play
I ordered this in june and havnt put it down yet. This game is a must for any PSP owner or music rythm fan with about 70 songs, hundreds of unlockables, stylin visuals, and almost no load time, this game cant be beat. One of the best games play-asia offers hands down. I give it a 10 out of 10

If you ever played DDR, Pump it Up, In The Groove or Beatmania and loved them, then you should really try DJ Max Portable 2.
It's playability is awesome, with note charts matching perfectly the song and the buttons. The game has cool sequences, features and tunes to keep you playing for long long time!
If you are a beginner with rhythm games, setting the game difficulty to "easy" will make things better, as it allows more mistakes in order to learn better the patterns.
Music and animation is simply fantastic, and the bonus features, like the OST mode or gallery mode make the game complete.
Overall, it's a awesome rhythm game with an excellent replay value!

    I can't wait until I get this..
This is indeed the best game (to me) on psp. I can't wait until I get the game to play, because it is my favorite game. DJMAX online is also very good, because they have good animations in the back-ground which adds on the fun.

    Best PSP game ever
This game and DJ Max Portable are quite easily the best PSP games ever. Addictive with catchy music, this series of games is quite simply amazing. While the game is hard to pick up and many beginners will find themselves struggling on the easier songs, the phrase 'practice makes perfect' truly does apply for this game. I have been playing the DJ Max series for about a year now and consider myself a pro at the 4B and 6B modes.

    Incredibly addicting and fun.
I played this game once while I was in Korea when my friend offered me to play. And wow, I was immediately traumatized by it. When I first bought my PSP, this was the first game I bought, all from that experience. It's pretty hard, but that's what makes it fun. I myself am a rhythm game addict, and this is definitely on my top list. The OST for this game is simply awesome. For anyone who plays games like DDR, Pump, or Beatmania, this is an absolute must-have.

Hard as hell, but fun playing it
The music is great, the difficulty is great, and the fact that it is in Korean, Japanese, and English allows anyone to play it without any problem. This is a rhythm game that is quite difficult even at an easy 4 button mode, so one who has lack of experience with following beats, and rapidly hitting correct button combinations will be struggling to get used to it. And you'll have to if you want to step up to 5-button, 6-button, and 8 button mode.
All the songs you hear on the website aren't available until you get some scores and level up in which they will start to unlock. A tedious task, but it is to be expected if you've played DDR, Beat Mania, Guitar Hero, or whatever else.
It also features an OST section to just listen to the music and link battle if you have a friend who also has a PSP and a copy of this game.
My only problem is the Music Videos for which the music tends to freeze making the visual and music out of sync once the music picks back up. I don't know why this happens but at least it doesn't happen in the game. Get the game, its well worth the money. Get the first DJmax portable to if you haven't gotten it. You'll get a little more out of this if you do.

    DJ Max Portable 2
Live out your wildest DJ fantasies on the PSP with DJ Max Portable 2. It gets you going on several genres - from rock guitar riffs to piano prestos. All you do to trigger the magical showers of intoxicating sounds is to rhythmically thump the PSP's face buttons to musical scores that will scroll vertically on the game pad's screen. Impress imaginary audiences! Earn buckets of digital money (fake, of course)! Hire fancy-looking gear and funny-looking avatars to help you conquer increasingly harder musical note charts!

Beginners and genre veterans alike will share an intimate relationship with DJ Max Portable 2's original tracks - 60 of them. Kudos to the scores' brilliantly arranged note patterns and a risky score multiplier feature that rewards better players with more gold. A Fever meter fills you up as you hit all the notes accurately. When full, a boost of speed can be activated that brings about a time-limited 2X score multiplier. Your blistered thumbs, numb as a rock, implore you to rest. But the game's devilish combo of high-score challenges and utilitarian unlockables keep you rocking on.
