Games under the DJ MAX titles have long attracted players through the incorporation of cool songs and graphics. By utilizing the two strongest aspects of the PSP console, DJ MAX Portable Emotional Sense is bringing you a whole new DJ experience.
New games have to come with new music, DJMAX welcomes the hit techno-classic band Clazziquai into their family. Clazziquai's music, although intricate as a whole, can be split into different parts.
By concentrating on one part of the music, the female lead's melody, for example, new gamers can have an easier time picking up the basics and by working together with the computer or other DJs, the players can perform complex melodies that dazzle.
Besides new tracks, the game combines songs from the first and second games resulting in a music database with more than 100 pieces. By taking challenges, players can unlock hidden stages and music videos, listen to music, train your reflexes and have a lovely time.
Amazing This game is just incredible, amazing graphics, addicting game play, DJ MAX has it all.
Black Square, is defiantly a challenge. It basically is the older brother of DJ MAX Clazziquai, providing loads of bug fixes, new songs, and the most challenging songs yet.
This game is great for the DJ MAX veterans, or if your new the the series, this is a great title too. Once you pick it up, you probablly wont be able to put it down for awhile.
solid game this game is great for any kind of pick-up-and-play action. However, you need to find a patch to be able to play in 6 button mode with more than 2 songs, and it exists, but to get it legitimately, you need to register the game with the code it comes with and have a korean social security number >.> You can find the patch around the internet though, which is good for us americans. However, I would not buy this game right now, as you can now purchase a bundle of black square AND Clazziquai edition for $45 on play-asia. That extra $5 will get you a normally $40 game ;p
The cream of the crop I have dj max portable to, fever and now, Black box, and I must say, this version is the best so far, with better video along with new songs and good game play, I'll give this game 5 stars cuz its just so much better than the others
A great, albeit imperfect addition to the DJ Max PSP series DJ Max Black Square continues what was first established in Portable 2 and adds some new unique touches. The elimination of the leveling system and basing most unlocks on the number of songs makes unlocks simpler in this release. The songlist is a combination of songs from DJ Max Online and new songs. (Of note being Son of Sun by Shinji Hosoe, also known for his work in various Namco games and Beatmania IIDX under the alias Sampling Masters Mega.)
The only major downside is that the release has some glitches (of note being the 6b mode glitch which shows only 3 songs), but obtaining the Platinum Crew patch for the release is not too difficult.
An enforcement of Clazziquai As many of you may know, there's various bugs found in the Clazziquai Edition of DMP. So Pentavision has delayed the release of Black Square. Because I was so disappointed in Clazziquai, I did not buy Black Square untill I finally determined to get the Quattra Limited Edition. (It was out of stock on play-asia of course, so I got it from another website) And there was no UMD in it. So I ordered this one from Play-asia.
I must admit that this one is much better than the Clazziquai version, and it's the real DMP3, if you want to call it that way. The control has a whole different type of feeling, which is not a bad thing, and the music all got into a higher quality, compared to old DJMAX songs, which is mostly techno, dance and rapping, now they have girls humming and choros and some cool dj scratching sounds.

No title DJ Max games are the best Rhythm games on a portable gaming console very likely the best in general. This one specifically is the best way to go if you are new to DJ Max games and/or Rhythm games, the music is great you will love it even more if you like K-POP or J-POP it has a beautiful and easy to use interface, plus its in english.
The best part of DJ Max games is that you really feel yourself being the DJ as you play the game the songs will be sound better if your timing to hit the note is good. Overall this game is one of the best games from asia that will provide you many hours of gameplay.

One of the best portable DJ MAX games. This game has a great selection of songs, and the Club Tour mode starts off very easy so even novices have somewhere to start that's not too intimidating. With plenty of stuff to unlock and lots of different chart options for each song (not to mention link disc capability with Black Square), there's a ton of replay value here, as well.

Amazing! I love Clazziquai, so naturally I'm biased. There are a good number of their songs and unlockable extras (like wallpapers, listening mode, etc.), but not enough of their classic songs! From Color Your Soul and Instant Pig, for instance. Very electronica and cool tracks, though.
I also love the animations in the background, so cute! ^__^ A nice game for occasional play.
Very addicting game!! Definately recommend everyone to play, its got many different modes. Fasted-paced game, very enjoyable, probably one of the best psp games so far =)

DJ Max for newcomers DJ Max Portable have come a long way to provide rhythm game fans something to look forward to on PSP. One thing that's always been an issue however was how difficult the game was.
Que in DJ Max Clazziquai edition. Game is tailor designed to ease people into the world of DJ Max with great catchy music and much more refined game modes and options.
Although the name of the game suggest that majority of music is from KPOP group Clazziquai, that is absolutely not the case, and you'll find wide variety of classic, and new DJ Max music to love and enjoy.
Once you've mastered this and want more chanllenge with more music, you should definitely go consider getting previous DJ Max Portable 1 & 2, and DJ Max Portable BS.
I HAVE THE WHOLE COLLECTION Now the circle is complete. this series is GREAT.
i take it to work and play it during break and lunch tyme. some of my co-workers enjoy playing it to :-)
also they enjoy some of the music and vidoes. they say it different but good. (a little change of music they listen too).

This Game is so AWESOME!! Clazziquai is the popular artists from Korea.
And this version have some of their songs too.
Also this game has 3 languages(Korean, English, Japanese) so it would be easier to play.

wow... It was totally different with previous series... DJ MAX is really COOL...
every series also having different gaming experience...
This time is more real to play...
althought is hard abit... but it's a good start to train your rhythm...
And also, it is more suitable for newbie to play it...
Come and get it... you will not regret of it...

Even on easy, its still hard This game is very enjoyable for those who enjoy music and Rhythm games. Any PSP owner who has enjoyed games like DDR, Taiko Drummaster, Keyboard Mania, or any other rhythm game should definitely get this game. The Emotional Sense is supposed to be easier to learn, but I only find it to be easier because it offers a 2-button mode. DJing with 4 buttons is still hard, and 6-buttons is insane. If you think you like music games and think you are very coordinated with your fingers, this game will challenge you.

Superb Clazziquai has to be one of THE best music rhythm game ever. And With the limited edition wall scroll, it makes the game even better :). Looking forward for Black Squares

Doesn't work w/ latest firmware update I have a PSP 200 w/ the 5.01 US firmware and this game will NOT play on my device, but will work on another unit that only has version 4.05.
I'm a huge DJ Max fan and loved the first two games; I want to be able to play this one as well!
The Like everyone else, the DJMax series is the sole reason I own a PSP as of right now and I'm loving every minute of it. Although this game is too easy for veterens, it's a good filler till Black Square comes out and the song selection is just too good. Teaming up with Clazziquai Project was a excellent move by Neowiz & Pentavision and I can only expect nothing but the best when Black Square arrives. Get this game NOW!
Wow... I have ordered every single dj max game. I love this one it was not a let down. Its more casual so what that does not take away from the amazing soundtrack. I can't wait for my wall scroll to get to me so I can hang it up ASAP. The dj max series is the ONLY reason to get a psp and this game in no exception. (Side note: Play Asia takes extremely good care of the items being sent shipping is a blessing)

Best Game Series Ever! Up to date I've purchased all the games in the DJ Max series and I must say DJ Max is the only reason to own a PSP. I have to say, though, that Clazziquai edition was disappointing. There are many good songs in this compilation but I'm sure they can be represented by better notecharts. I can't blame anyone since this is the "casual" version, but I really hope Black Square (which I've preordered) could fill in the void. That said, I'll still give it 5 stars :)

Cool Game... must buy This game is soooooooo alsome. You can even link your first DJ Max games 1 and 2 to get alsome gear, notes, and character as well. I cant wait to get the black Square 1 as well. A must buy. The music is also and so is the videos.
Fantastic Game DJ MAX Clazziquai Edition is really a great game! Hardcore or returning players be sure to buy Black Square version instead, as Clazziquai cuts back on the HD and MX versions of songs.
Great new interface, great new artists, great new songs from returning artists, this is a great game to start playing if you are into rhythm games.
**Small note, whether it's a mistake, delay of shipping, or out of stock, i myself have not received the wall scroll with the special edition i ordered.

Beautiful game... takes my breath away! The is by far the most accessible DJ Max game on the PSP. Got off to a great start with a simple language selection - English is available! All the menus, tutorials and descriptions will be in English (though there may be some minor grammar and spelling errors).
The tutorial is really useful.
The stages look excellent. The background animations sync perfectly with the songs. Theres alot of 60fps character animation going on.
Theres even a juke box option. And straight out of the box they give you 4 beautifully done MTVs! WOOT!!! Must BUY!
