description
As mentioned in last week's preorder news, Persona 3 is porting to the PSP with more characters and an improved system. See the Persona 3 world through the eyes of a girl, for those who have beaten the game already with the male protagonist, play again with a female.

Build different relationships around the girl and see how you can save the world with her. The game makes use of Persona 4's system, so you can command your player characters directly during battles.

Novices can use the beginner mode while the veterans can use the Maniacs mode (which far surpasses the Hard mode in the difficulty department.)

Stop the apocalypse once more on your Sony PSP.

Okami's Review
I have played some of the male mc story and its pretty much the same I geuss the main change to that is P4 battle system, unless you have never played P3 then not to much to see there but for exp. Players the famale story is the pull in, with new S.Slinks, small (not much) changes to the story but still great and the effort put in to remake the tortaros battles and exploring despite the psp platform and lack of processing speed makes up for the lack of anime C.S. If your new to P3 pick up a copy P3 and 4 is what got me into turn-based rpgs, its just that cool, this game will keep you up well in to the night so brake out the cookies and milk cause this game will keep you up.....all night long.

The draw is the new female Main Character
Playing as her now. While the main story isn't very different, the Social Links are. But one of the real best things about Persona 3 Portable is the revised battle system. It now uses Persona 4's battle system, allowing you to finally take control all of your characters. That, along with Persona 3's fun dungeon crawling system, makes exploring Tatarus much more enjoyable. In fact, I look forward to returning to it now.

Excellent!
The only disappointing part is no more anime cutscene like PS2 version, but well that does not affect the gameplay. Can't wait to see how the female mc story.

the portable port of a classic
First things first, if you don't know an extensive amount of Japanese then the game will lose some of its appeal. That said, the game features a harder difficulty level that will out right punish you for making any mistakes (classic ATLUS trait). You're essentially getting two games for the price of one, a male and female mode. The female path is the new version made specifically for Portable, and it features a few difference from the original protagonists path by changing up the majority of the social links and a few key story events (I won't say which to avoid spoilers). I have yet to play much of the male's remake path but at about 4 hours in its still the same as FES and the original. If you're a persona 3 fan or capable of reading Japanese then I highly recommend the game. If you're just starting with the series I recommend Persona3 FES over this.

FES+
Well, having played this game for the THIRD time, i dare say its as good as ever save for one nagging point that the female main character's route felt like it was a rushed attempt at times. Otherwise the best possible version of this game so far.
