In 1978, a game called "Space Invaders" greatly affected the gaming market and paved the way for what we know today in games. Now, without changing the nature of the game, the new PSP™ edition is now available! Up till now, gamers can only fire one shot and the enemy at a time. However, in this edition, apart from preserving the suspense of original edition, a "rapid firing" mode has been added, creating a satisfying shooter game. In addition, apart from the PSP™ proprietary network gaming, this edition also allows two gamers to engage in battle with just one deck!
If it was just a pure platform migration, it would have been too boring. As such, this edition also comes with a brand new exciting "Future Mode". Gameplay in this mode is feature in full colour and when you attack the invaders by firing in sync with the BGM (Background Music), you will be able to create ultra grand killer attacks! If executed correctly, you can even get the enemies to dance along with the music, and with the change of the BGM, increase the damage of your attacks.
Want to play Space Invaders together, but have only one deck? Fear not, with the Match-up Mode, you will be able to turn your PSP™ by 90 degrees and have two persons gaming right on the same deck. Apart from competing who can clear out all the enemies faster, by successfully hitting the UFO, a gamer will be able to let the Invaders invert in direction, creating a crisis for your opponent.
Last but not least, a classic gaming mode containing the original Space Invaders has also been included.

Simplicity
Space Invaders. You shoot at aliens. That's it. It never pretends to be anything more than what it is, and any fan knows what to expect.
Some nice extras, not my cup of tea, but I can understand why people would like it.
Check it out, for that price, it's worth a gamble.

unexpectedly fun
really...the only reason i bought this game was cause it's cheap. i suppose first impressions can be misleading. when i started playing this game, it was just an ok game i can enjoy. but after a few days i find myself playing this game over and over again. yes, it's a game that grows on you, getting higher scores becomes an addiction. if u like the classic shooting genres, you'll like this game.

Space Invaders
Once again Play-asia does an great job of getting my item to me. The game has a learning curve to it, since you cant read the manual, it takes some time to figure out what to do on Future Mode, but nevertheless its fun to look at and play, but does get old after a little while, but for the $12.90 you cant go wrong.

Why is this in the cheap bin?
I think this is quite the entertaining game if you are a fan of the series. Must say for 16 bucks shipped to the USA is a steal. Good candidate for import.

Great game for the price!
For those of us waiting until Tetsuya Mizuguchi's Every Extend Extra, the retro flavored funky beats in this galaxy will be sure to keep you entertained until Q's game comes out. Theres alot going on in this game with the vintage version of Invaders, Galaxy Beat and multiplayer modes as well. Plus almost all the games in english! If you're collecting PSP games or if your fixing for a musical shooting game, I highly recommend this game.
