This sequel is breathlessly entertaining. All the vulgarity and violence are retained! I have a joyful weekend playing it! Can't wait for the 3rd one! A guilty pleasure.

this game got terrible reviews, IMO only because it is very short on content. This is a very short game. 5 to 6 hours to beat the game. It is a solid game though. A very intense brutal game that sucks you into the gameplay and story. I really enjoyed the camera in this game. It is as if someone is holding a video game and running after you, with you. That how the camera moves, and what the game looks like. The game is co-op and is worth possibly 2 or 3 play throughs. I played the online a bit and it was interesting. you have to rob a bank with your crew... its worth a couple hours of fun, but I don't see if stealing you away from COD/HALO/GEARS/BF for very long.

Not so good
Graphics quality is good! However, it doesnt take long to complete the game. Story plot is meh. Its a game, in my opinion, which you just wanna complete and forget. Sound quality is not up to satisfaction. One thing I like is the Shanghai setting though since games with that 'Chinatown' setting is far and few :)

Really enjoyed the second one more than the first one.
The game play in single player and multi player is very simple and fun. Enjoyed every momen.
There are moments where Dog Days looks rough, with low detail models and awkward animations. However, the online video styling of the visuals really works.

I don't regret having bought and played through this game (can't say the same about the first). The story is sort of cool in a cliched crime story kind of way (think Heat or Pulp Fiction). The shooting feels nice and the graphics are do an amazing job at capturing the feel of Shanghai and the whole "Youtube video cam" feel.
This game is a very straight forward third-person shooter. If you've played many other third-person shooters you'll feel right at home. The controls are great, I was able to line up shots and dispatch enemies with ease even after turning off the aiming aids.
The game does however suffer for being a little too straight forward. You do pretty much the same thing the whole way through, take cover and pick off the hordes of enemies one by one. There are some brief stealth moments and turret shooting sequences but not enough to make you feel that the game is anything but lots and lots of third-person shooting.
Still at a low price I'd definitely recommend you give the game a chance. The locales around Shanghai all look really authentic, they really nailed the grimy feel of a city's underbelly, something integral to a game like this one which plays heavily on it's criminal lifestyle theme.
This game made me hopeful for a follow up, I think that if the developers found ways to spice up the shooting that the game could be something really special.

after finishing the first game long ago, and knowing there was a sequel, at first i hesitate on purchasing it but the low price drew me in. after trying out the game, it was actually great, worth every penny. but i do admit on the highest difficulty setting, this game can be really tough.

Amazing co-op experience
Grab this game, grab a friend, and have a blast for the 6 or so hours it takes to complete, it's short, but awesome. The special edition is a bit wanky, the slipcase is nice but besides that there isn't much extra in there.

The graphics and shooting live up to the reputation of the guys behind hitman and dog days is a big improvement on the first kane and lynch. However campaign is very short you could easily clock in a day the feature that saves kane and lynch is its acrcade mode which extends the gameplay with extra tasks.

I bought this game when it was the weekly special, and I'll tell you, this has been my best buy.
It has a single player mode, multiplayer split screen and online multiplayer. The feel of the game is great, it's like watching a video recorded from a handycam, lot's of cool effects, grainy when it's dark, censoring pixels, etc. From the visual effects to the sound effects, this game has the strength to get you into it. The story is crude, and will make you want to know more.
It's a little bit stressing, I can't play this game for more than 3 hours straight, not because of being tired, but for being emotionally exhausted.
If you like 3rd person shooters, and you love deep stories, then this is what you've been looking for, buy it now!

A Must have for Crime Fans
I bought this because I'm a fan of Michael Mann's films. And the first game brought out the essence perfectly. With the grittiness and the documentary hand-held feel added in this sequel, I bought it immediately.
Thumbs up for fans of the crime genre.

The game has a great story and an unbeatable price. Some people might not like the shaking camera, but you can turn it off. Personally, I preferred it with it on.

I only recommend this title at a lower price so buying from play-asia.com at this state is a great choice! The story campaign can be finished under 5 hours. It's actually a great experience to play with a friend via splitscreen and good for one evening but that's it. Online multiplayer is pretty laggy but if you get the hang out of it it's addicting. Check out the demo at the PSN or Xbox Live-Store. You won't regret it for a low price!

Kane & Lynch 2 is a raw and gritty shooter. Much like the first game but tweaked and improved, the action is intense, violent and chaotic. Unfortunately, the gunplay is extremely repetitive in that the game is essentially a series of gun fights after gun fights which consist of you ducking for cover, popping out to shoot, ducking for cover, rinse and repeat. As such the gameplay feels more like a test of your patience than that of something which requires skill and strategy. The plot is also a bit of a let down considering how much potential there was with such a unique cast of protagonists. The game however, has quite impressive visuals, solid voice acting and a very unique artistic style in that the visual presentation feels like the action is filmed by a camera as if a documentary or a film is being unfolded before your eyes. Overall, it is a very average game that had the potential to be much better. Nonetheless, given how inexpensive this item is at Playasia, I still think it is worth the price tag.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days provides what the original could not - fantastically gory action over a stunning backdrop of mob warfare and careless violence. There are still a few issues carried over that mar the overall package, but both Mr Kane and Mr Lynch now most definitely have our full attention.

Refreshing but very short experience
Coming from relatively unpolished Kane & Lynch, IO Interactive gives us Kane & Lynch 2.
The sequel continues the twisted tale of Kane & Lynch which can be quite refreshing when you compare it to some of the generic good conquering the bad etc etc storyline, but at the same time, it could be a total turnoff for some.
A lot of the previous game's problems - lacklustre shooting, horrid cover system, bad AI, unfinished mechanics - has been improved quite drastically to ensure the fundamentals of a good third person shooter is in place.
Now for majority of people the deal breaker or something that makes the game very unique and interesting is the visual style.
K&L2 uses a handy shaky cam style with a lot of home video artifacts that can be very distracting for some, but very engaging for others. Imagine looking at last two bourne movies or cloverfield and imagine you have to control your character and shoot in that shaky cam...
I found the game to be extremely satisfying because it's all balls and all action for brief 3~4 hours it'll engage you in, and list of achievements/trophies and shorter length will encourage you to play it couple more times.
Multiplayer is also a very interesting component where K&L2 is starting to create something very unique that makes it stand out from all other "generics" or "wannabies" out there.
If you liked K&L1, this is a pretty good continuation of a series. If you didn't, please dig up some videos of the games before buying.

Awesome! This is exactly the gameplay that I look for. From the 1st chapter till to the final, non stop adrenaline shooting gunplay. Great Game!
What can I say! It's a great buddy shooting game. Good cover system, and the AI is quite good. They flank and come up behind you. This is WAY better than the first one. Don't get me wrong the first was ok, but it had lots of issues that kept it from being fun. I highly recommend this game. You won't be sorry!

It started out with alot of potential, the amateur camera style, adventure in a foreign country and co op gameplay. Yet after 1hour of gameplay you start to notice the negatives. The amateurish camera style starts to get real annoying and I'm wondering whether it was just an excuse for the awful graphics. Next weakpoint is the short story. I finished the game within 4 hours and the story wasn't even that good... The multiplayer is clearly the best part of this game, and without it this game would only get 1 star. I'd rent it first before buying it...
