Rock & Roll and Video game
Perfect combination, a great game with wonderful music
and the guitar that comes is great, the only con is that the guitar uses AA battery, not rechargeable battery

If you like rock music, buy this or Guitar Hero 6: Warriors of Rock. If you're more into pop music in the 80s -2000s, like the ones performed by Culture Club, No Doubt and Taylor Swift, buy Band Hero.

More of the same
Pretty much more of the same compared to previous editions of Guitar Hero, fun to play alone or with friends, graphically good for the Wii and a good choice of tracks.

Not a bad collection ...
Guitar Hero 5 ... it's rocking harder than World Tour but with good reason too! Decent playlist as well, the moment i got my hands on it, i've been drumming away for 2 hours already! Good fun!

I noticed that the price i ordered it and the price now are slightly different, so it's cheaper now, do grab it! Enjoy!

This game was great
I have been obsessed with Guitar Hero since the first game came out. It has plenty of good songs, and I like that guitar hero has taken Rock Band's lead and introduced the mic and drums to the game. I have been playing a lot of Guitar Hero 2 lately, which is also a great game, and anyone who enjoys the Rock Band series will probably also like this game. The biggest difference between the two games is that Guitar Hero 5's vocal system seems to be more sensitive than Rock Band's.

Must buy!
I'm only giving this 4 stars because I gave GH World Tour 5 stars, and the songs included in this GH 5 are not as good as the World Tour.

Apart from that, this game brings a lot of new functionality and features geared toward making this game a favorite at parties. The entire setlist is unlocked from the beginning so pick a song, and play. Moreover, people can jump in n out when playing party mode, and unlike earlier co-ops, two guitarists can play rhythm simultaneously.

This game is a lot of fun for everyone, the only department its a bit short on is that the setlist isn't *AS* good as World Tour, but its still a great setlist.

I got a $10 credit from PlayAsia cos the price of the game dropped AFTER I had purchased it, so that made it all the more sweeter. Thank you PlayAsia, you didn't have to do it, but its awesome that you did! I'm a fan!

Finally something new!
Guitar Hero 5 brings many new solutions. If you are bored with the previous games in this series, I recommend just this game. A breath of freshness after the recent musical productions on the Xbox 360

best ever
Simply it is the best guitar hero game of this series. When you update your songlist with GH:WT 130 songs become avaliable for playing. This is a huge amount of songs in which everybody can find at least 10 favorite songs

Being used to Rock Band...
I didn't quite like this game. Not only are the fret runners hard to see (the screen is both dim and small - and no it's not just my TV), the timing of the game for the guitar is incomprehensibly hard to get. My friends and I "just can't get it". Plus, the choosing of difficulty and bass/guitar comes before the game, not before each song.

That said, the bar style for the vocals is a lot easier to manage than Rock Band's, and the range of songs is more varied - which some prefer as a change of pace. One of my friends who's a jazz drummer loves the funk songs available.

I'd give it 3.5 stars - it's a good game but being used to the Rock Band franchise, I cannot be but slightly biased against it.

Guitar Hero 5
Same as the other Guitar Hero's

Good:
- Good use of Xbox 360 Avatars
- Import World Tour songs

Bad:
- I think this the first guitar hero that you must use guitars,drums...etc

to play it

you can't use the normal 360 Joystick

So if this the first time you play guitar hero

buy the guitar bundle.

nice game
one of the features i like about this version of guitar hero is the ability to import songs from other guitar hero games (metallica/world tour), its nice to have one game with all your songs so you can play without swapping discs. Ifelt that some songs like sympathy for the devil I was piano hero rather than guitar hero, but there is a nice keith richards solo in that song that was worth the wait. I like older classic rock songs and find tha the downloadable rolling stones content was great too.
3.5-4 stars out of 5 from me.

An update worth buying
2 simple things to begin with: the new Guitar is an improvement even on the World Tour one, and GH5 lets you import a good chunk of music from WT/SH. Not the least of which includes DLC. Means alot to Wii players I can assure you!

Of course as usual, the downside is the Wii version doesn't look as pretty...it simply can't, but, they have been a whole lot less lazy about it. So it definitely looks good for a Wii game. Honestly, there's nothing I can say about this game that everyone else in the world has already said so I shall finish with the following: If you own a Wii and are into Guitar Hero or want to GET into Guitar Hero; buy this game. With the guitar controller and all.

Improved Gameplay!
Guitar hero 5 is a vast improvment on most other versions in the series, The gameplay is very good, they no longer expect you to play the game to purchase clothes! you are given eveything you want! you still have bonus outfits that can be earned. The fact you dont need to complete the game with each instument is fantastic, I cant sing and dread, screaming my monotone voice to complete the previous versions, The choice of songs is very good, The songs are more popular songs, which leave you in less a state of mind of " i have to do this song to proceed" most of the songs are very very good popular songs. The guest acts like garbage, improve gameplay with the supraises that this game has for you, one last thing, this game allows you to play multiple instuments in the same class (aka 2 mirophones, 2 3 guitars etc) If you thinking about getting this game, certainle get it! its well worth it! if you have been disappointed with previous versions of the game, you will enjoy this version.

party with your friends with brand new party mode!
The game has made a big improvement from the previously released guitar hero world tour and injects much more fun to the bedroom with other friends alongside playing, allowing you to use any combination of 4 instruments. you can also import the songs from smash hits and world tour into this awesome game to make party mode even more fun!

Fun game
The improvements to the gameplay are good. For example, you can play any instrument you want, so if all your friends want to just sing or if everyone wants to play the guitar, that's possible now. No more fighting over who gets to play which part. You're allowed to play any song from the list as soon as you start the game. Unfortunately I didn't know about 80% of the songs, so it made the karaoke part of the experience a little difficult. Why does Guitar Hero choose such obscure songs all the time?
