Solid game If you are a fan of action games such as Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry, this game is well worth a shot.
Though its story is laughably absurd, its gameplay more then makes up for it. Though it plays similar to Devil May Cry, there are a changes to the system such as Witch Time and wicked weaves that completely separate them.
Coupled with multiple weapon types to explore and use as well as many different enemies to test them on, Bayonetta surely has outdone itself.
Awesome Action If you love Devil May Cry and were disappointed by DMC4, then Bayonetta will alleviate your fears as a return to great action on PS3.

No title "Bayonetta is the new game from Hideki Kamiya, designer of" Viewtiful Joe "and other popular games for Capcom, which today is co-director of the studio Platinum Games, the" MadWorld "and" Infinite Space ". In some ways, the launch is an evolution of his most successful former company, "Devil May Cry", with elements renovated and improved.
The Bayonetta is such a voluptuous witch who becomes involved in a crazy plot about a war in heaven in a fictional town in Europe and uses very eccentric ways to destroy enemies. His clothes, for example, has a tendency to discard during the fighting and leave her naked, because the tissue is created in real time by your own hair, which can also turn into giant fists, giant monsters and other forms of useful.
Bayonetta also has two pairs of pistols. Two of these arms are attached to the heels of his boots, to acrobatic combos where shots are mixed with punches, kicks and pirouettes. Other items and accessories that come up are also strange - imagine opening a door with a key or face giant angels with a trombone - and create one surprise after another. Indeed, what surprises is not lacking in the game.
The climate of insanity is certainly one of its greatest strengths. As in some of the best examples of anime pasties, "Bayonetta" does not seem to be afraid of ridicule and jokes about all the best Japanese style. All the characters are eccentric, armed with flashy clothes and dialogues full of platitudes and cliches. The enemies and situations never seem to fit right and leave room for the absurd to take the action of the common place that many games seem to accommodate. Even the nudity of the character is part of the game and somehow make fun of other games of endowed heroines who abuse stripper clothes and behave like nuns.
Heroin is uninhibited, but it is certain that the proposal is far from pornographic. It's pure satire. The situations, turnarounds and behavior of the characters are so absurd and exaggerated that you can not take anything seriously. It is a game that throws away the current conventions of the genre of third-person action in an attempt to escape the conceptual morass that today reuses mercilessly grim subject full of giant arms on some epic quest there.
Solid Mechanics
First minutes of adventure
Of course the approach would not work if the foundations of the game were not solid. Kamiya was smart and used the basic mechanics of "Devil May Cry" to form the operation of their new venture. The combat is very similar, lots of scams that are joined in combos, giant heads and even has the support of a store to purchase items and weapons.
The news, however, are many. The very moment that an enemy is to hit Bayonetta, for example, you can dodge to activate the Time Witch, who puts everything in slow motion and lower the guard of the enemy for a counterattack. There is also a movement of torture that can be triggered when a special bar is full, which evokes equipment as guillotines and iron ladies to finish enemies.
All the deaths and destruction of certain objects - and a minigame - ensure the accumulation of halos (which look like the rings of the series "Sonic the Hedgehog) that serve as currency in the game. Bayonetta can also collect materials to create items that improve their strokes or recover your energy, among other facilities.
There are very content to be enabled, discovered or purchased during the plot. So much so that it is necessary to revisit the adventure to acquire halos capable of buying special clothes and other items of interest. This, coupled with a scoring of notes increases the life of the game dramatically.
Hair demonic
The technical aspect of the game holding the wave and keep the action varied and always in high gear, with very precise controls. The presentation is not even leaving the chin on the floor, but it is enough to give life to the delusions of their creators. The models are detailed and have deteriorated in line with the sustained attacks and destructible landscapes have shares, among other niceties. The animation is first, with bizarre movements and pirouettes very revealing by the protagonist.
The audio is also appropriate and not only has a voice-first in English, but with a sophisticated trail that takes points and all moments of the narrative. There is room for up to include a remix of "Fly Me to the Moon," the 1950 song immortalized by the likes of Johnny Mathis and Frank Sinatra and who has also played up the film's highly popular anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion."
Difference between platforms
Business with Bayoneta in the flesh
Finally, we should comment on the differences between the versions for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. 'Bayonetta' was developed specifically on the Microsoft platform by Platinum Games and conversion to the unit from Sony was made independently by a team of Sega, which distributes the game.
The work of adaptation, unfortunately, failed to reproduce faithfully the title and many visual problems appeared. Expect to see more jaggies, performance problems and a lack of certain effects of light and shadow in print for Playstation 3, which also suffers from long load times - even to pause the game there is a slight delay. They are aesthetic problems that trouble on the comparison, but in the end, just interfere with the progress of the adventure or the impeccable mechanics, which leaves a copy of Sony's game still attractive.
The definitive version! Everything they say about this title is true: Bayonetta is truly amazing, and this asia version is region free and contains 2 instruction manuals: 1 in japanese, completely colorful, and another based on the US version, in b/w, as every SEGA game...? Well, thanks to Platinum Games for givin' us this gem...
