Great game for PS3
Although for those who wish to experience its online features, just for the heads up, the server for both this and the sequel are subject to be shutted down later this year. But the offline features are still kept remained intact and can still be fully played.

i don't get the character models
the mechanics and stories are quite good, it's pretty similar to ffxi in terms of the real time rpg (though i still consider it as turn based) However, Japanese character model designer needs to get an upgrade or at least change the style a little. the princess looks awkward with weird fashion sense. and she looks just like girls in every other jp games. I dunno, it's maybe because i'm quite fed up with: hey look doesn't she look like xxx in xxxxxxx?

a bit more than your usual fantasy medieval RPG
Castles: check. Princess: check. Dastardly villains with moustache: check. Young hero: check. Arcane knights with mysterious powers: check. However you look at it, it's yet another take on the usual RPG, yet one that is pleasant to watch and some considerable online multiplayer options to explore. Doing quests with players is the way to make the most out of this one.

White knight chronicles is an excellent game. I love the part where all your equipment changes are reflected on your character, even during the cut-scenes!
However, as I am still early on in the game, the equipment is still fairly standard so everyone just looks like a clone of each other, but hopefully that will change once I get to create equipment.
Online mode (or side quests) should not be play alone, as they are pretty tedious as the maps are really really huge and you basically spend most of your time walking and walking. So its best to team up with a friend or just go online to find people to play with.
Overall, its fairly standard staple for a JRPG. I still have not gone to the custom creation and all that yet, but I think it will be a joy to play.

Well, I was curious about this game. im kind of RPG fan so i tried it..the storyline was good but theres a lack of character development, battle system is kind of slow..but

This game essentially features additional content to the original version which I have already reviewed above. This game plays very much like a MMO even in offline mode with a battle system and layout that bares some similarities to FF XI/XII. The graphics are somewhat mediocre for PS3 but the designs of the knights and several of the monsters are impressive, even if the variety in monsters is lacking.
The story is a little weak and bland with even the twists and turns being quite predictable. It also doesn't help that upon completion, you discover that the story is in fact incomplete and now we must wait for the sequel to find out what will happen next. As a result, because of the story being left in limbo the development of the characters are also half-baked.
The strength in this game probably lies in its online mode. Offline, it is quite a short game and can be completed within 30 hours, it's the online component that may greatly add to the replayability though even then, the online quests are somewhat repetitive in nature.
Overall, it's not a bad game, die-hard RPG fans are likely to get some enjoyment out of it and at the right price, I would still recommend it though it isn't without its share of shortcomings.

The battle system feels a little weird and complex at the beginning, but after a while you just forget that it exists and enjoy the battles. Another good aspect are the graphics, which are amazing (certain towns left me stunned with the detail and complexity).
The story... well, I haven't finished the story mode, but it looks promising for what I've played so far.

And the dubious distinction of being the first and only game to ever -crash- my PS3. Save points are numerous enough however that this doesn't cause any excessive issue with playing.

It is one the good next gen RPGS. Online gaming is good. Its very much like playing diablo. A loot and grind game which is fun to play with other folks.

White Knight Chronicles International Edition is awesome game.
The bettle system is cool and based on real time action.The graphic and game play are great as wall.

Decent story, but still incomplete, wait for the WKC2. Battle system is FF12 styled, but with the lack of Gambit system.

White Knight Chronicles
Despite what the critics have said about this game, the Georama system, online gaming and equipment binding system has a lot to offer. The musics and graphics are gorgeous too. The story so far is pretty cool, a lot of plotting and surprises have appeared before me.
The Incorruptus have showed me also that if a Xenogears game will ever be released on the PS3, it's going to be pure success. Those giant knights are amazing. I can already imagine how the gears would look like.
The movie scenes are fantastic too, have never seen anything like it.(Haven't played FFXIII yet)
Another strong point is that weapons and armors have it's own design, your character doesn't remain with the same clothing when you change equipment, lots of cool armors and weapons to see.
The only weak point is that the monsters on single play mode are too easy to beat, they could have developed a harder difficult level for it.

This game is a bit slow to start and is not as intuitive. Players will need to definitely read the in game help system to understand the game mechanics.
Good graphics but loading between zones gets a bit annoying after playing games that are seamless when changing between zones.
Good RPG for the PS3 but still unsure as to the longevity of the product.

Must get if an Online Player
WHC has a nice generic singleplayer mode, that is filled with long cutscenes and overall results in a short story.
Where the game really shines, is the online mode. That, if you find that it is your cup of tea, can literally sip hours of the day away!

Awesome Online Mode
The story mode is very easy and you won't remember forever (like Final Fantasy games), but the online mode is very, very cool!

Awesome RPG
White knight chronicles is one of the better RPGS released on the PS3 lately. It has an intuitive battle system (you can spend a great deal of time tinkering pre battle configurations!), nice graphics and awesome robots, reminiscent of xenogears on the PSX.
Just be aware that for some reason, white knight chronicles internationl edition MAY freeze randomly for some people. No one knows why and it doesnt affect everyone, but after an hour or two of gameplay without saving, only to have it freezze on you is not cool.

this game has the best character creation ever, the story is great, i love the combat, the amount of attacks u can have is amazing an the combos u can create are awsome. the japanese are the best at making rpg games hands down! get this game!!!

A great game for the grind fans of RPGs.
I picked this up because of the MMO like design of the battles but found that the MMO like design is in the battle system only. The monsters don't seem to respawn unless you reload the area which makes it like FFXII.
Transforming into the White Knight is a blast and like and like any RPG of it's kind requires time invested for leveling and loot collecting.
The things I would have liked to see done differently would have been respawning monsters and a different system of delay by weapon and action chip gauge refilling.
All in all I recommend this game to those who enjoy MMO like designs like FFXII and enjoy grinding like Dragon Quest games. Lots of monsters to kill to get to the next level.

This game plays very much like a MMO even in offline mode with a battle system and layout that bares some similarities to FF XI/XII. The graphics are somewhat mediocre for PS3 but the designs of the knights and several of the monsters are impressive, even if the variety in monsters is lacking.
The story is a little weak and bland with even the twists and turns being quite predictable. It also doesn't help that upon completion, you discover that the story is in fact incomplete and now we must wait for the sequel to find out what will happen next. As a result, because of the story being left in limbo the development of the characters are also half-baked.
The strength in this game probably lies in its online mode. Offline, it is quite a short game and can be completed within 30 hours, it's the online component that may greatly add to the replayability though even then, the online quests are somewhat repetitive in nature.
Overall, it's not a bad game, die-hard RPG fans are likely to get some enjoyment out of it and at the right price, I would still recommend it though it isn't without its share of shortcomings.

Try this one if you have passion about

It has a story, not long, not short, just about the right length. Yet, the story is some what not truely finished. Which makes all the players thinking about there may be a second version, a continuous story.
The quest system is special. Interesting quests with numerous types of mission and starting from Geald Rank 7, preety much all the missions are not able to be finished just by yourself; you MUST link to GeoNet to work with other players to finish the quest. Plus, it is updated periodically since 2008. Until now, there are more then 15 missions been added to the game and all of them are downloaded to your system automatically and freely once you connect to the Internet.
Anyway, if you like to play RPG, collection of materials for making things, medieval stories with a fantasy of able to trans form, and freely settle the way of attacking your enemies, YOU GOT TO TRY THIS ONE!!! This game was released in early 2008 but I did not pay attention to it until the end of 2008 and I liked it soon after I new its system.

What more should I say ?
This is one of the best game in PS3 for me ... I spend almost 1,000 hours of gaming offline and online. Beside, Level 5 keeps the game updated with new patches releasing. Take it, you won't regret it if you know some Japanese words. ^^
