The year is A.D. 2087. In the aftermath of World War III, Earth has been ravaged and the population decimated by a deteriorating environment. The countries that survived have joined together to form the Greater Unified Nations and turned their eyes skyward…to space. Edge Maverick and his childhood friend Reimi Saionji are chosen as pioneer members of the Space Reconnaissance Force, which was created to seek out new worlds beyond the stars. Their ship, the Calnus, takes its place on the lunar launch pad along with four other starships of the first reconnaissance fleet. These ships – humanity’s last hope – blast off one-by-one and sail into the awaiting wormhole that leads to the vast star ocean. And so, Edge and his crew begin their voyage in search of a new haven for humanity...and a second chance.

Good JPRG
I'm a veteran when it comes to Action RPGs, thats mainly the reason i wanted to try this game out, and even though the battle system is no nearly as good as one of the Tales series, it gets the job done and its entertaining.
To make this short, I will just focus in the negative factors, which are much less than the positive ones.
The game suffers from frame rate drops all the time, in battles and in the field.
The draw distance in fields is poor, and its not covered with fog or anything, so you can easily notice all the stuff popping up from nowhere.
No multiplayer during battles, another reason that makes Tales of series games superior.
Other than that the rest of the game goes from good to very good.

Great Game!
A pretty good game, classic rpg. and star ocean saga.
good graphics, hours and hours of play.
And in language that most prefer.

A good choice for the ps3 rpg
The game is good I thought the graphics loaded through and sometimes reaches disturbing but otherwise the songs are great and the battle system star ocean is just not as good as Grandia but it's fun guaranteed recommended game. Thank playasia and until the next purchase.
