Got this a few days ago and haven't put it down since.
Online is fantastic and so is the single player mode.
With the cheap price too you would be stupid not to get it.

Not as good as burnout 3 The graphics is ok but the gameplay and style is getting old. It's becoming repetitive just like the need for speed serie (except for the SHIFT). EA need to change develop team here.

Blazing speed Burnout Paradise includes all the fast-driving, hard-wrecking action you'd expect from a Burnout game, but with a fantastic new open-world design that gives it its own stand-alone flavor.
The good things:
* Racing and wrecking is as thrilling as ever
* Open-world design creates a great sense of destructive freedom
* Showtime mode is a hoot
* Online functionality is seamless and addicting
* Superb visuals.
The not so good things:
* Could have used more variety in race and event types
* Soundtrack and DJ dialogue could be better
* Early in the game, you'll probably be a little confused and overwhelmed by the whole thing.

One of the greatest racing games so far ! I've being a fan of the burnout series, specially since the Need for Speed franchise failed to deliver. Without any doubt Burnout took Need for speed place.
Burnout Paradise is a very complete racing game, and with the downloadable content you expand the experience even more!
The only downside is that you cannot play offline with other players, It would have being great to being able to play in your house with other 3 players.
The online multiplayer is awesome!

No title good car game. crazy driving and crazy speed!!!
Fun arcade racer that shines online. This installment of Burnout clearly has online multiplayer in mind. Countless challenges invite you to drive with or against other player world wide. The game features a huge selection of cars, race events, challenges and game modes all on a single, huge map with possibly the most visually impressive car damage system ever realized in a videogame.

Great Game . . . if You Don't Have Real Friends There's little that I can say that has not already been said about this game. It has great graphics and sound, including a stellar selection of music. Additionally, nearly all of the racing modes are fantastic although stunts are incredibly difficult to figure out, especially given the limited visibility of ramps.
All in all, this is a great racing game, but it has two weaknesses. First, the game has no licensed cars. That is, all of the makes and models of the cars are fictional. It would add some serious value to this game if you could race real cars.
The second, and vastly more serious problem, is the lack of split-screen multiplayer. One of the greatest aspects of any racing game is its multiplayer and, although Burnout has online multiplayer, it is impossible to play with your friends offline. That is, if you want to play with your friends, they must spend the $300+ needed to purchase a system and the game.

Absolutely Amazing! One of the best car games of all history!!
Super fun modes of racing!
Great multiplayer interaction!
Millions of thing to do!
A super great game no one should miss!
Could have been a great game The game has stunning graphics, great soundtrack and engine sounds. You feel the speed when you are driving the car. But for me the game loses one star because there is no offline multiplayer option. These games feel much better when you can play it with your friends in the same room. The game has a great online multiplayer feature but it's not the same feeling. Another star is cut because of the frustration that comes along when you are racing in the city. Streets, shortcuts, alleys can get really confusing. You are not required to follow a certain path during the race and you easily take the wrong turn which causes time loss and eventually start the races over and over again. Plus as the game proceeds, the races become longer and tougher hence there are more chances of taking wrong turns and crushing your car and as I said before, you have to start the race again and again and again and again and again.......
nice game For thoses who are looking for arcade driving... just go :)

Disappointing I love Burnout game. Drive at crazy speeds with awesome handling, and get involved in epic collisions. That's more or less the Burnout formula. Dominator was by far my most favourite of the series. So you'd think that with a winning formula, Criterion wouldn't really be able to mess it up, right?
Wrong.
The concept seems solid - you get a giant virtual city to drive around in, and you can start races whenever you want. Unfortunately though, once the game actually loads (which takes eons - you'll be disappointed if you just want to sit down for some instant action), problems arise...
The game handles exactly like previous ones, however the problem is that for each race you're given a start and end point, and how you get there is up to you. Hooray, total freedom you say... but think about this realistically. Say you want to go racing through the criss-cross patterns of a major built up city, through backstreets, alleys, main roads and highways, you fly around at a zillion kilometres an hour (btw, you think they'd bother to add in support for the metric system, but no...) you're going to frequently run into this problem: wrong turns. This is what totally kills the game. Racing is no fun whatsoever if you're flying along, having to pause every few seconds to examine the map (no on-screen one here) to make sure you haven't gotten on a highway with no offramps around, or taken the wrong street at an intersection... and if you have, then that's most likely the race lost for you and you can try it again... if you want to drive all the way back across the city to the starting point.
The game could've been made playable if they'd just added indicators on major intersections of where to go, but unfortunately no. The only way you're going to get enjoyment out of Paradise City is if you can commit the entire layout of the city (and it's a big one) to your memory - and then recall it in a split second.
Oh, and there's no crash mode, and you can't detonate cars during races. Boo.
Ultimately, it was a nice idea, but a fails in practice. I have a feeling the next iteration of the series will probably use the same format, but fix the game-ruining problems mentioned above.

Best Burnout Game Burnout is an amazingly fun game. It goes beyond racing with stunt modes, showtime where you damage as much as you can, and hidden areas to find. Burnout is a full size city that you can spend MANY HOURS driving around discovering things without even participating in events. Over 80 cars and bikes can be won and driven. After you complete the game you can spend an infinate amount of time online working with friends to complete tasks or compete against each other in races.

The best Burnout yet! Burnout Paradise is the first great game of 2008. It has all the makings of one of the best the Burnout series has seen, and if improved upon for next year could be the best Burnout yet.
Great online/offline racer. The City is Burnout paradise is huge and beautiful, the cars are amazingly detailed, and the control is smooth, online play is awesome too.

Awesome!!! One of my favorite racer games!
I especially like that you have much more choices in the types of races you want to complete in order to advance.
The graphics are great, and the sounds is excellent also.
Anyhow, I would still highly recommend it anyone looking for a racing game.

Perfect Game This game is completely different. I didn't play any other version of burnout game. I love this game.
Fair. I have fallen in love in 'Burnout" since I have played 'Burnout 2: Points of impact', and I have never left this game in the drawer. Since then, the franchise had more ups then down, especially with the back then all-new takedown. I have also bought both games for the PSP, and they were as good as their predecessors. Anyway, Burnout Paradise in a nice game. Why is it only Nice? Well, lets start with the fact that there are not a lot of new things in it. Couple of races, road rages and other events but no 'crash mode'. Instread you have the "Showtime" (L1+R1) which is dissapointing ans useless. The game gets pretty boring after a couple of races, but I praise Criterion for releasing updates quickly- the bikes, day time and party pack gives a nice twist to the game. Also, you have to be a navigator (or at least have good guiding sense) in order to succeed in races. You can easily find yourself going at the wrong way because of a turn, which is extremely frustrating, especially if you were as the first place. In past burnout games you had a route which was closed in other sides, but because of the "open-world", now you can get lost. So, I give this game 3 out of 5, and I hope that Criterion Games will make Burnout 6 better than Paradise.

Gets boring quick I like the open world idea but the way it's executed in this game it's like a competition between who's the best navigator not driver. They traded the ultra fun over the top burnout style for realism, and I must say I'm disappointed. Burnout Dominator forever!
Pretty Fantastic This game is great. The DL packages are awesome. It's just a shame this Asian version doesn't have the sponsor cars that are in the US and UK versions. Apart from that, top game. Fun and Addictive.
New dlc coming 18th sept, BIKES! The Bikes Pack will include two motorcycles suitable for tooling around the city, along with the option of male or female riders. The bikes won't be the only new additions, as Criterion is also adding a motorcycle license progression, day-night cycles, changing weather, 70 new Freeburn challenges, and more!

Best Burnout EVER! me and my brother loved it!, we did a lot of crazy things in Paradise city!..........cya online!!!!!!!!
Crush & Crash! I love this game. The realistic car crash system makes this game so amazing. One of the best among all the burnout series i had played. Great variety of cars for you to choose from. Free roam around the city. Crash onto any vehicles you see in the way and watch how your car flips and flies in the sky. Totally Cool!! GET IT!
