pretty fun stunning lighting and actually fun with some practice but way too short to really become legendary. for the price it is fun enough to bother with.... nuff said!

Mirror's Edge Innovative concept for FPS/Parkour, but takes some getting used to... Keep your expectations down, and you'll enjoy it more...

Not your everyday fps. For those of us who get tired of the scores of game titles out there in traditional first person shooter action, this one is refreshingly different.
If one can overlook that the story isn't particularly gripping or engaging, and simply focus on playing the game, one definitely enjoys it more. The rush of vaulting over or sliding under obstacles, running up and along walls, vaulting along poles and performing feats of acrobatics is quite exhilarating.
There are instances with gun play, be it using pistols, assault rifles or even the sniper rifle, for those who relish a challenge everything can be accomplished without firing a shot... even though it requires better skill in running.
Definitely worth getting, and I hope there's a sequel to continue the fun parkour gameplay, with hopefully a longer and more engaging storyline! And why not cooperative play.
Nice ideas but... An interesting IP, hopefully if more to come to fix some of the bugs with it.
At times, when you have the flow, its a joy to play, but when you are stuck, it comes frustrating and joypads will be tossed around.
The story is basic at best, but it doesn't rely on it, simply this is a game of movement, running, jumping in one long go.

Nicely done Great game, totally different from what I've played before. It's worth ;) the only downside is that the story mode is a bit short, but you can still play the speed-runs and timetrails

nice but should be better It is surely a pretty game, and has a nice history also, but I particulary dont like games where you die plenty times until you figure out where to go, or what to do, or because you missed a jump. So, in its overall is a nice game but it quickly becomes boring.
Good idea This game is made by a good idea.
The way of fight is mainly just running away.
The first person camera make me excited.

Engaging, involving and unique This game has the tendancy to get you hooked quite easily. The tutorial is quite simple to follow and the controls are relatively easy to pick up on. The graphics are quite detailed and the whole game is rather well done. I quite enjoy exploring and practicing combo moves in a range of areas throughout the game.
Overall I'm quite happy with Mirror's Edge and look forward to more games of this genre being released; a sequel perhaps?
Innovative but slightly disappointing I was looking forward to Mirror's Edge after the amazing trailers that surfaced last fall. And I can't say I hated this game at all. But it was at times very frustrating, and felt very short and shallow.
The graphics and gameplay are brilliant and innovative, and I have to give EA and DICE credit for taking a gamble on a new IP, as they so seldom have in the past.
The story is basically absent. There's no character development and the cutscenes don't provide much insight. The ending is also abrupt and disappointing.
The real joy in this game is the speed and flow of movement, and I think the time trials and DLC races should be the focus of anyone considering this game. If you're looking for an interesting story or heavy action, pass on Mirror's Edge, but if you love shaving seconds off your best races, then definitely pick it up.

An original experience DICE really did a good job with this game...
Cleverly mixing frenetic action, plataform and shootin' all together almost impecable...
It's all worth it at this price!
Very good, but not for everyone The main thing to know here is that much of the gameplay can feel like trial and error at first. The game does very little to teach you the best ways to fight enemies and because of this it can take a little time for things to 'click'. Once I got used to the controls and fighting, the game was a blast and I didn't stop playing it 'till I was 1000/1000 achievement points. However like I said in the title, this is not for everyone. If the idea of trial and error until you understand doesn't appeal to you then you probably won't like this game. There is a learning curve here. If you're into challenging yourself you should find Mirror's edge worth your time.
Promising, executed badly With hundreds of great games out there don't waste you're time on a frustrating game that in the end only delivers 1 or 2 fun moments through the entire game.

Mirror's Edge Well, the developers at Electronic Arts have not only successfully created a new game, but also a new genre - first person action. Like a first person shooter, players see things through the eyes of the lead character, Faith, a messenger of a different kind in a sprawling cityscape. Her idea of speed delivery though, is jumping around, across and over buildings (think parkour or free running) and getting quickly. Players have free rein in making Faith literally jump through hoops and watching her perform the wildest of stunts from her point of view.
Worth a look Once you get over the first impression of a bland cityscape you realise just how well the visuals have been designed to help you make the most of the experience. Sadly, the gameplay itself prevents this Mirror's Edge from being a classic. The controls are clunky and less than intuitive and the repetitive nature of brute force progression can get tedious. Worth a look, but try before you buy.
