Difficult but rewarding
A fairly straightforward hack and slash RPG with large, varied worlds to explore. It's complicated by a punishing death system where you must attempt to reach your place of death to recover your Soul's - the games currency. Requires patience and dedication but in exchange felling your latest obstacle is rewarding.

The Deluxe Edition's game guide is very useful but you can get a lot of the information from the various game wikis, or forums.

The free bonus artbook consisted mostly of the loading screen art, with a few sketches thrown in.

Grind, grind, grind, and you will be rewarded with one of the most enjoyable action RPG's of the last few years.
Intricate level designs, challenging enemies, bosses that will truly make you tread carefully with each step as the difficulty is set quite high, but with great risks, there are great rewards.
Do not risk missing this hidden gem !

One of the best games ever
What can one say about this product it has it all.

Spectacular Graphics and Sound , Adventure, Dragons amazing story and compelling gameplay. This isn't just a reason to own a PS3 it is quite possibly the only reason to own just a PS3 it is that good.
I am still yet to fully discover the depths of this title and the wonderful strategy guide that came with the deluxe edition will be quite beneficial for this task.

I would thoroughly recommend this game to any adult who is sick of cutsie titles with mind numbing gameplay.
Seek out fame and fortune in the realms of The Demon Souls and you may never be satisfied by any other game again.

Absolutely killer game!
I've had a PS3 since they came out and none of the games could challenge me....EXCEPT THIS GAME!!
Not for the casual gamer, Demon's Souls is relentless in it's punishment...but that also makes the experience so much more rewarding.

Very much a time consuming game, so tell your girlfriends you've got the flu, call in sick for work and hunker down on the couch because you're in for an experience.
