Prepare for the ultimate invasion! The most anticipated game of the year and the sequel to the best-selling first-person action game of all time*, Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 will strike worldwide on November 10, 2009. Activision Publishing, Inc. will release the newest installment in the groundbreaking and record-setting follow-up to the 2007 blockbuster, Call of Duty® 4: Modern WarfareTM, that has sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, to date.
More of the same that made the first one great There's no doubt about it, Modern Warfare 2 on consoles perfects how a first person should control and feel.
If you have enjoyed all the Call of Duties until now, especially Modern Warfare, there is everything you have loved all done better in this game. Problem is, it is just that, nothing more, nothing less.
Single player has been tightened up to give you the rollercoaster ride and set pieces you get from summer action blockbusters, Spec Ops bring long requested "coop" mode for the MW series, and Multiplayer refines everything you wanted from the first one and more.
If you were a fan of the franchise, it's a must.

C.O.D does it again. Modern Warfare 2 is an excellent game. akin to a high budget, well crafted hollywood blockbuster. The single player campiang is shockingly short, but intense, well paced and offeres enough variety to warrent multple play throughs. Thouhg the story is quite garbled and very cynical, taking the shine of the campaign story somewhat. As is expected, the multiplayer is drop dead perfect. Everything carried over from COD 4 and then tweaked and pitched to perfection. The addition of split screen co-op in the new spec-ops mode is also a welcome addition. These mini misions are varied and extremly addictive and can be played online or split screen with friends, adding even more value to an already superb title.
