m/ Great game m/ Technically speaking this game is merely competent, there are some collision detection bugs, sound glitches.
But if you have half a soul and enjoy Metal, this is a great choice of game.
All in all great selection of tracks, although I certainly could have done without Deff Lepard, Kiss and Motley Crue...
If this game contained some tracks by Tool, and Meshuggah, it's soundtrack would be perfect.

Heavy Metal Culture + Jack Black + Tim Schaffer = Must Buy!!! What Happens when you mixture one of the best (and funniest) game producer of all time, a great comediant and a world based on heavy metal culture? add metal gods like Ozzy Ozbourne or Lemmy and more of 100 excellent songs and you have an excellent game. The action parts are a little repetitive and dull sometimes, but the story, characters and hilarious dialogue compensates it, and the RTS mode is just fantastic! if you are a HM fan its a must buy, if not, but like to laugh a little, I recommend it also.
A game for fans of Metal Music First things first. In order to get most out of the game, you really need to have good knowledge of the Heavy Metal music genre. There are so many subtle Jokes that might go unnoticed. Humour, dialogue and story are the best bits of this game. Actually, because of this, you forgive some gameplay flaws.
Action is actually quite easy and somewhat repetitive. RTS-sections could work better too. On the other hand, the gameworld is quite big and there is a lot to explore. To explore in a funny way.
Learning curve is low. Mostly all the things you do are quite intuitive.
Characters are great and rather surprisingly the celebrity voices do their job well and Jack Black is absolutely hilarious as Eddie Riggs. Nobody does humorous dialogue and intellectual jokes better than Schafer.
A must buy for everyone who likes metal music and I'd recommend others to try it out as well.

Tim Shaffer, Jack Black, Awesome Metal S/Track If the 1st three main points don't get you in....then your gamer status is null and void. This game is a must for metal fans for it's soundtrack alone...Well over 100 songs, with a myriad of classics. Then factor in gaming genius Tim Shaffer, and Jack Black as the main protagonist and we almost have a winner...But how does it play?? Excellent...Not the world deepest game, but at heart it is a hack'n'slash game, so RPG level depth is not expected...However, for the genre it defines it delivers with rock solid gameplay, awesome level design and enviroments, a banging soundtrack, fun side missions (including beer runs) and most of all FUN.... No regrets on this purchase.
