Great Value for a Good Game
After reading the reviews on this page I have to say that there is a definate split between the views of this game.
Note: I just recieved this game today (I bought this version and it works great)
This game is a nice little diversion while you are waiting for the next blockbuster game. What I am really taken in by this game is the "What-if" scenario that the game is based on. How would our world be if Norse gods were real and they were the guardians of the human race. I also find the "What in Odin's name is that" instead of the traditional Western "What in God's name" to be a clever little line that puts you more into the atmosphere and environment of the game world.

All in all this is a game that is worth picking up. It is an interesting twist on traditional RPG's and culture that you wont be disapointed with. For $10 there is very little that you can be dissapointed with

This game can be excellent if you put in the effort
At $10 it's a must buy, but to get full enjoyment out of it play through the first level and before picking your alignment, search online forums for recommended strategies for your character class. You'll find this game to be deep and fun if you learn to play it well. Clearing out a room of 100's of robots is incredibly satisfying.

    Total dissappointing
I was once hyped for this game but sadly it's just another disappointment.
The game looks mediocre and plays mediocre. If you enjoy total lack of immersion Too Human is just the ticket! The mind-numbingly boring right stick swirling which makes up the majority of combat will have you streaming with tears of boredom in no time. Add to this a revoltingly bad targetting system and you have gunplay that's 3/4 luck and 1/4 hope. Baldur would rather spin around and shoot at walls, or butterflies, or even enemy bullets rather than any one of the horde of 3000 irate robots charging at him.
The camera is one of the worst ever designed and implemented in a game.
The story is sort of interesting but with only 4 levels in the game it really doesn't get much chance to flourish. It's over as soon as it gets started. I don't think SK really get the idea of what a trilogy is. Cutting one normal length game up into 3 very small pieces isn't it. The story will appeal to Norse mythology fanatics and people with low standards but seriously, nothing worth getting excited about.
Level design. Now given there's only 4 of the things you'd think SK would give you 4 action-packed and interesting levels to sink your teeth into. Wrong. The levels are all very similar (basically corridor running) and bland.
The game can be played with 2 player co-op but this game was meant for 4 player and it shows. It feels like a game that had its guts ripped out mere moments before release. You can see it in the character classes, the level layouts, everything. The game was meant to be played with 4 people to get the most out of it, but due to SK's weak development skills we missed out on that too. Oh, and don't think you can jump online with a buddy and go through the story mode, the story is cut out of the co-op game, so you have to play single player to see it. So Too Human feels like a MMO dungeon crawler that only lets you play by yourself, or with 1 friend. Nice thinking again SK!
And to finish off the loot in this game isn't even all that interesting or cool either. The whole game is just amateurish.
If anyone is still reading this please, just buy something else. Too Human is trash. SK set out to make a great dungeon crawler, but obviously neither Denis nor the team "get it" when it comes to making one. 2 big thumbs down.

    Avoid.
Combat control is imprecise, air combat seems to be there purely for an achievement, and it feels very detached, as you simply push the right stick and watch as he does the work.

You can get interrupted mid heavy attack by a mini-boss hitting you but you can't cancel it yourself with a roll or jump. Health only drops from enemies, so once things start to go downhill they just keep getting worse, because you're attacking a single thing at once, and they're all belting you. You will die. Often.

But it doesn't matter! Because death is inconsequential. You just get shunted back a touch and you're good to go. What a great way of dealing with a badly designed combat/enemy system, well done guys.

The talent system is an obvious afterthought and pathetically implemented to boot, the combo system that only has three charges and shares itself between ruiners, spider bombs and battle cries, and the loot system makes stuff drop so often you'll be going through the painfully setup menus every 2 minutes to change gear.

The camera is a joke and the level design is worse than Halo 1. Yes, apparently it can be done.

When it comes down to it, little of all that matters, because this is an RPG, yet they've decided that the creatures should level up to always be a challenge the player. Completely against the entire logic of an RPG and leveling in one. Why level us up, drop new gear, or allow access to older areas if you've going to make the challenge the same all the way through?

    Just say no, everyone.

Get Mercenaries 2 (although that appears to have disappointed as well), or Warriors Orochi or something. Seriously, Kingdom Under Fire : Circle of Doom is better than this, and that's saying something. Get that if you really need a hack and slash. At least the story in KUF:CoD is completely bonkers and not half way there like this.

Perfect for fans of this genre
Too Human is for fans of this genre (Action-RPG with loot hunting) fantastic - it has it's issues (camera), but it's a very addictive game with excellent art design and very good music.

And after playing through the singleplayer mode (appr. 12-15 hours) the game can be played in 2 player online coop mode for loot hunting ... I love this game! :)
