The scoreboard does not only record the highest scores, but save games. If you don't know this game as a shmup fan, you should be ashamed of yourself ^^ as you are definitely missing something. Go buy it right now. RFJ is said to be one of the best of its kind - placing itself betwenn oldschool and cave manic shooter. I fully agree to that. The whole conceptual art and design of RFJ is fabulous, the feeling of gameplay in the praised last "real combat" level of Raiden Fighters Jet is equally mesmerising as the last level of mushihimesama futari.
Many shmup fans have benn waiting too long for this title to be ported to ANY console. Though made by the same corporation, Raiden Fighters have nothing to do with a sluggishness and "bullet from the side" effect of Raiden 1 3 4 series. Go get this brilliant and furious shmup, one of the reasons to have x360 at all.
Perfect Plenty of ships and display options in these three technical and well designed shooters makes this a fantastic value. These games create the distinctive Raiden formula of fast moving simpler bullet patterns with difficulty generated by highly technical scoring. Surviving the games is much easier than earning high scores. You will have to find secrets, get quick kills, bullet shave, and progress medal values to have a competitive score. Also, there are separate online leaderboards for each ship in each game, raising replay value and encouraging exploration of different ships. Fantastic. You won't regret this purchase.
One of the best Shoot'em ups of all Times! I really do love the Raiden Series, when i played first the Arcade in the early 90's. Raiden is from the Beginning to the End so perfect. Levels and Enemy's are so perfect designed, that other Developer should an Eye on this Masterpiece! That's how should Shoot'em ups look like and feel like. Gameplay is simple but awesome. One for Shoot, another for Bombs. You are getting not nerved as Ikaruga, where you have to change your Color from your
Ship to absorb the Enemy's Shoot. And this Time, you become an 1:1 Arcade Conversation with lots of Extras. I
say this, because Raiden Project for Playstation is great too, but has some slowdowns on the Screen. And on the second Part, when you are drop a Bomb, the Landscape looks like before, while on the Arcade the half of the Screen is destroyed. To sad, but maybe one Day, we're getting a perfect conversion? best Regards. mc

Still amazing GEM. Another great shooter for the 360. Great deal and every game is awesome, and a fresh take. Even though most are old-school there are there are tons of options on how to de-interlace, upscale, etc to get it looking fresh on a big screen. Sound is amazing and still shakes the room with the right gear just like any new school shooter.
