even without the main hero, Halo Odst still is an enjoyable game and the new Firefight mode is an superb multiplayer experience, especially with your friends....
The J-NTSC Japanese version is region-free and in my opinion has the best voices even superior to the English version. There are no English voices in this version, but it has English subtitles and text

Good story telling, no news on multiplayer, lack of exciting ending
Its definitely a must have game if you played any of the Halo games. I liked the story telling mode, different parallel stories, that join at the en into one. There are some new fun things to do, but i was expecting more out of the multiplayer. There are some cool new local multiplayer features but not so much for online gaming. Good game but not as breaking-through as Halo 3.

Not Bungie's best work
Halo: ODST is clearly an attempt to milk more money out of the Halo franchise. While the flashback missions are quite interesting and varies, the night city missions feel nothing more than a glorified mission selection screen. The much touted Firefight mode suffers from significant latency issues when played over Xbox Live, even with friends within the same country. There have been thousands of complains from fans about this, so hopefully Bungie will patch it soon. In the end, it just feels like Halo: ODST was rushed by Bungie and not given the same loving care and polish that the other Halo games were given. As a result, its potential as a great game never quite comes to fruition.

Halo without the Chief

It's Halo without Master Chief. That being said, it's great for the Halo universe in adding to the story. Which is what I love about the series.

Another sequel to the best FPS series
Halo 3 ODST is a sequel to Halo 3, which was a best-selling game with its online experience. Bungie does not disappoint us again with an all new online mode, firefight. Although no matchmaking, this mode is incredibly fun. The campaign is rather a little too short, but has a great story to it and youll enjoy it if you are a Halo fan. Great game, although it has some negative aspects.
