A crippled space craft carrying a murderous prisoner loses control and is sent hurtling towards an unknown planet. The crew and its marooned space travellers are forced to defend themselves from the now free madman, as well as struggle for survival on this seemingly lifeless, sun-scorched world. When a blinding eclipse throws the planet into darkness, the world erupts with nocturnal life – and the real battle begins.
