aka. Pocket Monsters Diamond
description
Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl take place in an all-new region called Sinnoh. When you set off on your travels, you'll be able to play as either a boy or girl Trainer. Pokémon fans have caught glimpses of Mime Jr., Lucario, Munchlax and Weavile in Pokémon movies, and these Pokémon will be debuting in this adventure.
Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl will challenge you to explore the Sinnoh region in an incredibly deep RPG adventure. Before your quest is complete, you'll meet over 100 new Pokémon and challenge countless Trainers along the way. Like previous core Pokémon titles, these games feature an engrossing storyline and well-balanced RPG action.

It's still a classic, but not THE classic. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are very much classics, following the same formula I know and very much love. I was an avid player of my Pokémon Red, loved my Gold, and greatly enjoyed my Ruby. However, something seems to be missing from the fourth generation of Pokémon - the game feels less epic, and more formulaic. The Pokémon seem less inspired, the Elite 4 and Gym Leaders easier, often having only 5 Pokémon instead of the full 6. The legendaries are... ugly, and not exciting. If you're looking for a great Pokémon game on a Nintendo DS, look for Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
awesome game! I have played and beaten this game, It's a little easy but it's still great! I haven't gotten platinum but this is still a great buy. The graphics are great and the sound is amazing.Get pokemon diamond, pearl, or platinum, you'll love it!
Have a DS? Get This!! if you have a ds, you have to have this game, no joke these game is really fun! but the bad part and only was that it was too easy
The DS is perfect for Pokemon Pokemon Diamond is one of the best games on the DS, whether you're a newcomer to the series or an experienced veteran. The battle system has been tweaked a bit, with new abilities, attacks, and the first real distinguishing between Physical and Special moves.
The game also allows you to transfer Pokemon from the GBA games like Emerald and LeafGreen, which really helps, because there's 493 Pokemon this time around.
You'll have plenty to play in Pokemon Diamond. Contests have gotten a massive overhaul, including new events. The new battle system makes real use of a Pokemon's stats, and strategies have changed. New monsters to collect and trade with friends add a whole new meaning to "Gotta Catch 'em All", and the competitive metagame is deep, whether you're training with advanced things like Effort Values, breeding, or anything.
The game's graphics are gorgeous, though nothing compared to the remake, Pokemon Platinum. Sound quality is also good, and a lot of the themes are catchy as the dickens.
The plot seems slightly re-hashed from the Hoenn region, and some areas are bland, but overall, this game's a near-perfect DS adventure.
