  • The successor to the popular rhythm action game "Ouendan" (aka. Elite Beat Agents)
ÃèÊö
Osu! Everybody's favorite DS rhythm action game is back! Prepare to help people and save the world again with the power of dance and song in Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2. This is a direct sequel to Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan and not Elite Beat Agents, which is a remake of sorts of the first game with different songs, characters and stories for the western market.

For those who have never played the game before, the game requires you to touch the screen in rhythm to numbered circles on the screen with some variations to keep things interesting. With licensed music in the background and varying levels of difficulty, it is a very addictive music game.

You can expect all of the original cheer squad, male and female characters back in for the sequel. You'll also see familiar faces from levels in the first game making an appearance. Watch out for the rival Cheer Squad dressed in blue! They're also playable in the game, making this sequel bigger and better in every way.

Wondering about multiplayer? The game supports 4-player wireless play for endless gaming fun. So make sure to pick up a copy and stop helpless people from screaming Ouendan!

I liked this a lot more than EBA. The experience has really been streamlined, so you might have difficulty going back to the first Ouendan game after this.

One of the best game. Ever.
This game got to be one of the best games in Nintendo DS. It is highly addicting and the songs included in this game are nice. The game also highly optimized the DS' touch screen feature.

With likeable characters, and various difficulty, this game would entertain players with wide range of abilities!

One of a must have game in DS. If you think this is just another Elite Beat Agents, I'd say it's even better!

Probably the best DS game I've played; it encapsulates everything that's great about portable, music, and rhythm gaming in general. While only an incremental derivation of the original title, it blows the first one out of the water by fixing certain nags (unskippable intros, non-coherent beat patterns).

A must buy for every DS owner.

Incredible
Howly this game is awesome!
Extremely fun and addictive concept, very well worked mechanics and smooth gameplay.
The song selection is quite good, the same quality as Ouendan 1 (so the only difference is your songs preferences), with well-know japanese modern artist, remakes and even anisongs (songs from anime openings or endings). The gameplay is smoother than in Ouendan 1 (a new "skip" button is added in the start and ending of the song, making your retries smoother). and the stories are funnier than before.

It's perfectly and 100% playable without knowing a word of japanese, but you'll loose some laughts and good moments with the comic-style stories on each stage. Hey, but it won't be released in english, so it can't be helped. Either way, you can say a lot of the stories by the context and the pictures.

It's more difficult than Ouendan 1, that's good if you're looking for a real challenge.

If you liked Ouendan 1, then there's no doubt, you'll love this game. If you don't know the previous game, but you like japanese music and rhythm games, you'll definitively love it too!

One of the DS's Best
Plays much like the original, except the difficulty has been kicked up a notch. The ability to skip the intro of the song and get straight to the tapping is a HUGE plus. Overall it shows much more polish, refining a already great formula.

Song selection leans more towards J-pop than J-rock this time, but each song grows on just like the original. You may go into it thinking the songs are not as good as the first game, but by the time you finish you will be divided over which game had the better tracklist.

EBA to Ouendan 2 = Good Transition
I recently received Ouendan 2 in the mail and beat the first level of difficulty, but when I moved on to the second level the songs got surprisingly hard. I owned EBA and even it didn't have such a difficulty curve, so watch out. This is probably because this is the second in a series so they bumped up the difficulty but still. Also, by going from tapping to English songs to Japanese songs one looses a LOT of skill. The lyrics are very hard to decipher with the beat so be wary and ready to be listening and doing some songs over. But overall, this is one kick ass and hilarious game. Buy it if you have a DS.

Better than EBA
Definitely better than Elite Beat Agents. I couldn't stand EBA's lame characters. The agents looks so lame and dance really lame too! I couldn't stand it so I sold it once I completed it and bought this. The gameplay is the same but the characters in this are definitely cooler and dance better. The gameplay and story in Ouendan has that Japanese anime feel and since EBA is set in America I don't think it translated well which is why I prefer Ouendan even if they gameplay really is the same.

Bigger, better and more challenging!
I'ved lobed both the first Ouendan game and EBA, and I preordered this one so I could get it as fast as possible. The gameplay is as fun as in the first one, there are even more songs with a total of 19 different songs by different artists. The stories are just as zany as in the original game, but there are so many improvements:
- You can skip the opening and ending sequences of the songs, which can be quite a relief when you're trying har to finish a stage and have to start over.
- Once you've attained a certain number of points, you unlock hidden mode where the timer circles can be turned off. Extremely challenging, but you can get a higher score in this mode.
- The option to save your replays, up to 19 can be saved.
- Multiplayer. It needs to be played, 'nuff said.

An excellent choice for a person who loves their DS and good rhythm games. Because this is one of the best games out there. At least until they release Ouendan 3.

Is it good?
Well, if you loved everything about the first game, then it's all here, including more features. Now, there's 2 Ouendan teams, more songs (16, plus 3 extra), and the option to turn off those rhythm circles, so there's an even greater challenge.

Not only that, the difficulty is totally revamped, so Easy is actually easy, and Hard is actually Hard. So newbies can just pick up and play and, should they lose, they have the ability (for the first few songs in Easy) to resume right where they were with the meter filled 75%.

Fantastic game!!!
This is a must-buy for lovers of the first Ouendan - Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! - and Elite Beat Agents!!! The songs are perhaps, different from some of the better known ones featured in Ouedan 1, but the gameplay is still the same.

There are however, some new features that really improve the playability and replayability of the game. As mentioned in previous reviews, there is now the option to skip the introduction of the song, which is really fantastic given how long the intro for Countdown is. You can also have the opportunity to review the part of the song that you have failed the level, as well as save the entire song in the instance that you've done exceptionally well in the level ;)

My only complaint (and it's the same with the first Ouendan), is that it gets incredibly tricky and difficult, epecially for Countdown :(
At least there is the Monkey Magic and other bonus stages, which make it worthwhile ;D

Ouendan 2 is great!
If you loved Ouendan or Elite Beat Agents, then you will definately love this sequel to Ouendan. It features 19 new songs, as well as a new rival team of Ouendan in blue. This game will definately please fans of the first game, and includes features from EBA such as Saving a Replay of the song as well as being able to skip the story, the opening scene, and the ending scene for the impatient people or for people like me who don't want to sit through the same thing several times.

Ouendan 2 is definately one of the must-have DS games, if you don't get it, you are missing out on one of the best DS games of all time! Ouendan 2 gets 9.7/10! (It would be nice to see some Online play if there is ever an Ouendan 3!)

Ouendan AGAIN! And its still as great as it was before.
Ouendan 2, the sequel to the 2005 hit, takes the original game, adds in the improvements that were brought in by Elite Beat Agents, and improve on those even more.
Adding in a new and wonderful soundtrack into the mix.

The result is a very fine cut game that is sure to have you addicted for quite some time.
If you enjoyed the first Ouendan, or its spiritual sequel released for an english speaking audience, Elite Beat Agents, there is no reason not to get this as well.
It takes what was already great, and adds to it even more.
5/5 Stars, and my highest recommendations.

New tracks, new characters - that's it?
Ouendan 2 is simply just like Ouendan 1 or Elite Beat Agents, the gameplay is exactly the same, nothing has changed, except for one thing: you can (FINALLY!) skip the stage introductions within the songs, which means that you don't have to wait for ages when the song starts playing in the background and your "life bar" appears on screen. This is a VERY nice improvement, since it caused a lot of frustration in the last 2 games, especially when you played on HARD-Mode and was stuck in one of the stages so that you had to play it again and again and again. But there are still a few seconds before you can start in which you have to listen to the all known and famous "OUENDAN" help-cry (or whatever). Anyway, as mentioned above, the game plays like the other games of the series, there's no control-improvement or something. Of course there are some new songs which (in my opinion) are far better than the songs in Ouendan 1, although there are still a few ones in which it is VERY hard to figure out the rhythm (especially on HARD-Mode, remember Jumpin Jack Flash on EBA for instance..) since there's nearly no music but a LOT of numbers jumping at you..

If you want a second Ouendan which play exactly the same way like the first one - but with some new songs - this game is your choice! But if you thought that already Ouendan and EBA got quite boring after some time, you should better avoid this one.

And for anyone who didn't play one of the other games: This game (depending on the difficulty level you choose) can be as much challenging as DAMN frustrating.

That last star sure is picky. :)
This game is absolutely awesome! It's everything you'd expect from Ouendan/EBA series of games. Tons of catchy J-Pop tunes that'll make you pick up and play the game just to hear the songs again.

The only real issue I have would be how iNiS handles the difficulty settings. You start out with the standard 2 difficulty levels, and can unlock two more. If you've played the other two games, the "normal" default difficulty is a bit too easy. Still, that in no way detracts from how great this game is.
