Impractical in some regards, but good in others I purchased the item to protect the GP2x Wiz while it was in my bag or pocket. Saving the screen and body from damage. Typically it is not alone in either location, sharing space with keys, cellphone and other items needing transport.
It definitely does this task flawlessly. I've found the plastic clasps hold the device nice and securely in place. The plastic has also stood up to the weight and pressures while in my backpack without a single crack.
But there are significant impractical flaws which prevent it from being useful during other times.:
The clasp covers the USB port therefore charging means OPENING the clasp.
If there are SD cards in the slots provided, they scratch the screen. I realised this before I purchased the item and got a 16GB card to save the need for swapping.
Using the device with the case is next to impossible, the cover gets in the way. It's far more comfortable to remove the device first.
While the cover closes nice and snug to the device, this does mean that the buttons are pressed when the clasp is closed. This makes life annoying if say your using it as a music player. You must turn on the Hold, which means changing songs means unholding.
On the whole, it's great for protecting the device during transport. I would recommend it for this purpose, just be aware of the short comings and possibility of screen damage if you use the SD slots!

Fragile and impatractical The plastic clips which holds the Wiz into the case is quite fragile. I had one of the plastic tags snap within a week or so of using it.
The design leaves a lot to be desired:
- The top flap keeps getting in the way while you use the Wiz, so you have to hold it out of the way while you use it;
- When the case is closed the UP and Y buttons get pressed. You need to switch to "hold" mode before closing the case if you leave the Wiz running;
- The magnetc clasp covers the USB port so you can't close the case which plugged in for charging;
- The SD card holders are positioned such that they scratch up the front of your Wiz when the case is closed.

Not practical at all placement of the system in relation to the flap and closing strap is completely crazy. Impossible to leave in case and play. Well-made, but impractical.
