A very nice controller from Madcats;
I bought this for the odd fighting game and shmup (such as Mushihimesama Futari). I was going to buy a $100+ arcade stick but I don't play the games enough to warrant the cost.
This controller makes a good mid way substitute, the D-pad handles very well. A quite long cable is included with the controller to connect to your xbox system however you can extend it with a USB A-A cable if you like (should work with 2M more, but shouldn't be needed).
Another Great purchase!

A Needed Step Up From the 360 Controller
When it comes to the twitch style control input of fighting games, you are at an immediate disadvantage when the controller you are using is not comfortable or responsive enough to take your gameplay to an expert level.
A prime example of this is the original Xbox 360 controller. The D-Pad is not floaty or responsive enough to pull off a move accurately and ontime every time which makes things very frustrating.
Thankfully Madcatz have somewhat remedied that problem with their 'Fightpad'. It eliminates the analogue stick and sticks to the conventional control pad format. 6 face buttons in addition to a single row of shoulder buttons makes this a winner.
The D-Pad is slightly raised and is quite floaty and responsive.
The only downside to this product is it's size. I don't have small hands by any means, but I agree with kamaitachi that it is slightly oversized and took a bit of getting used to. I would have preferred a Sega Saturn styled controller in terms of size, but your fighting game experience is sure to improve a great deal over a standard 360 controller.
Recommended.
Pros - 6 face buttons for full button mapping, larger and more responsive D-Pad, ability to 'switch' D-Pad to act as analogue stick when browsing menus, etc.., turbo setting included for each button.
Cons - size of controller could be smaller as larger buttons and overall size contribute to slower input due to hand and finger 'travel', no rumble feature, corded device may disuade some (although the cable is around 3-4m long).
