Don't buy if you're buying the 360 Slim.
Bought this to enable HDMI use with my non-HDMI Harman Kardon 5.1 system with uses an optical cable for sound. Discovered the slim has a dedicated optical sound-out port built in.

YOU NEED AN HDMI PORT ON YOUR XBOX360
I have got an older xbox360 without the HDMI port so after reading this discription i thougth that this cable/adapters ads a HDMI port to my xbox so that i could use the full potential of my Full HD plasma screen.
But when i received the cable it seems that the adapter only has the Optical/RCA connector and 2 analoge audio ports.
The HDMI cable supplied is just a standard HDMI cable that you could buy at any audio/video store.
