Amazing/useful* When your TV has only one HDMI IN or if you're out of room for additional hookups this comes in very handy. With a single HDMI IN I am now able to switch between PS3 and an HD-upscale DVD player just by the press of a button (-with no unplugging necessary-). There is no picture quality loss either*
