Fantastic Game
Missed out reviewing this game for a long time but yes this is an awesome game waiting for the third sequel... the effects are very reall.. the emotions put in the game are awesome..... simply love the idea of the game.....!!!

GREAT game
The only reason I give this game 4 star is becuase the game trully shines in multiplayer, and its a little late to be playing modern warfare multiplayer. Otherwise. you can play the game that started THE modern combat FPS genre battle that is raging on consoles (and PC) between Battlefield, COD, and Medal of Honor.

The graphics may be good and the storyline is unique but the single-player campaign is rather short and plot is not too engaging. The multi-player is already old though you could still find someone to play against online. However, as a bonus, you would get a hostage situation at the end of the game and that has tilted the score back in favour.

I usually do not play FPS games. After reading so many postive comments on this game, I decided to get it at the promotional price. I must say I am impressed. The developers are really good at ensuring the game is running at a stable 60fps at all times for such an action intensive game.

it’s the multiplayer mode that solidifies the game...i mean the online component of this game is pretty awesome at 60fps and bullets flying everywhere...my only problem is that the single player is very short...wish it was a little longer to get more action from the best shooter of all time

this game game is just wow. i m an FPS lover and trust me this game is just great. i have killzone 2 also but the gameplay of COD4 is much bettter than killzone2. but in terms of graphics nothing can beat KILLZONE 2 ..

there's no map token in it! anyway, offline campaign is somewhat disappointing with unrealistic number of enemies and too much camera jerk when you get hit, online is just fun. at least until MW2 comes up!

Activision have not been clear with anyone and seemingly refuse to fix this mess. They are aware of the problem but are obviously happy for people to continue to be duped.
I bought the GOTY version, and on realising my misfortune, contacted Activision. I was told it was a short term promotion and had to be a specially marked box. Nowhere, not even on the official Xbox sites around the world, does it state that.
Microsoft finally helped me out by crediting me with 800 M$ points to cover the cost. Unfortunately, their sites still state the misleading information. I'm a little astonished.
But for Activision, whom I have supported with many a game purchase, including COD3 with its online debacle, for shame.

An Absolute blast to play!
This game has one the strongest game mechanics out there and the multiplayer is a killer. Only problem I have with this game is the endlessly spawning hordes of enemy in the single player.

Amazing game!
This is hands down the best First Person Shooter for the PS3. The gameplay is solid. The story though a bit short, will keep you hooked till the end and the online multiplayer experience is great. It deserves 5 stars without a doubt.

I have a PC version of COD4 already and i bought this and it was worth it. It's a great game in my opinion the best of the COD series so far.
Mostly play with multiplayer great game to play while friends are over and online play is great.

i think its horrible. during the campaign i never really had any reason to fight. there was no need. i felt like i was trying to get attention from the game.

Finest game in it's time and now
It's by far the best shooters ever in it's release and extremely addictive online play with great story telling and not to mention gorgeous graphics.
Can't wait for Modern Warfare 2 and see if it's hyped over this one.

Long and short of it, your xbox collection should not be without this game, even if like me, you are not a shooter fan. Excellent single player, awesome multiplayer, outstanding graphics and sound, not a minus point in sight!

Great Game
As soon as the Asia Version which runs on all Xbox became available again I ordered the Game from PA and I got it today. Fast Delivery and one of the Greates Shooters ever, even for Beginners as me its Fun and the Action sucks you right in. Amazing Game..cant wait for the Second one.

From what I've played this is great, but you should know that the Japanese version doesn't automatically translate into English like Resistance etc. do. Of course, because the voices are in English it's still playable.
