Dead Space 2 looks like a Resident Evil
Dead Space 2 looks like a Resident Evil, but the theme of the Alien saga, and it's not bad. In some momomentos arrives to give more scares than the actual Resident Evil, and their heads are great!
Limitations sometime also make the game interesting.
Dead Space 2 parece um Resident Evil, mas na temática da saga Alien, e isso não é ruim. Em alguns momomentos chega a dar mais sustos que o próprio Residente Evil, e os seus chefes são grandiosos!
As limitações em algum momento também deixam o jogo interessante

Best Horror games
It remind me the Horror game which I playing at long time ago ~ Fatal Frame / Resident Evil 1.
I like to play it during night time with light off environment, pretty scare……
No doubt of it, Dead Space is the Best Horror games (Resident Evil any sequel series is not scary any more)
Dead space, great game play, great scary experiences, great graphic.
Another great part for this games ~ Dead Space 2 is worth to play for many times becoz it still having many unlocked/upgrades material, it may increases the interest for you to replay it.

These days, 'survival horror' seems to have taken a back seat in the mainstream media, as older versions of this genre now move more into 'blam the hoarde with a mate' kind of approach, Dead Space 3 at the point of this review maybe following suit, but in the meantime; let's return and enjoy the chilling hit of Dead Space 2.
Some horrors just won't leave you be, and that is the trauma that Isaac Clarke has to relive as the insanity he left behind has come along for a second dose. Necromorphs skulk around in the walls, ceilings, floors just waiting to literally jump out and eat your face off. Keep them at bay by hacking, blasting and stomping their heads, arms and legs off.
Use your rig's skills to navigate puzzles, overcome the challenging and most of all; survive.
If you value an experience of playing in the dark, with a pillow over your head, with headphones or 5.1 speakers on loud; prepare a stack of underwear on the side too. Dead Space 2 will help you live out mainstream horror in your hands

Dead Space 2 follow directly after Dead Space with more depth in story and improved gameplay. All scare element from previous installment is kept but your character is more bad**s with greater equipment and weapon in your arsenal. Multiplayer is good addition but it get bored for a while. PS3 version exclusive content that include Dead Space Extraction is good value if you want to play a rail shooter with your PS Move.

This is and will be one of my favorite games of all time. I fell in love with survival horror with the resident evil games and they are great games. But the Dead Space series takes all those elements, and makes them 10 times better. This game, like the 1st one, has the best sound design of any game ever made (you NEED a good pair of DD surround sound headphones, trust me! you will thank me). This game has AMAZING atmosphere. It doesn't matter if you play this game 1 time or 10 times, it will scare every time, and you will still jump, just becuase of the atmosphere and tension the game creates.

Good sequel to a great game. I enjoyed the isolation and the toned down action from the first game, and they kept a lot of that intact in this game. However there is a whole lot of more action in the second game and that sometimes to was a really good thing. The story I would say is more engrossing this time around but it was kind of missing that mystery wibe from the first game. Non the less this game was great and should be played by anyone who liked the first Dead Space.

Though the sequel doesn't bring anything new to the story line, there are some new weapons available and some new monsters. The game is far from boring, it's still isn't that easy playing alone in the dark. Definitely worth it. Thanks Play-Asia for a quick delivery.

But it's nonetheless a terrific game, with a campaign that simultaneously leaves you satisfied and eager for more, and intense multiplayer that gives you a great reason to keep coming back to this terrifying universe. Unless you're just plain chicken, this is a sci-fi horror adventure you definitely want to suit up for.
Dead Space 2 doesn't bring with it the same sense of experiencing something utterly new and innovative that its predecessor did. Scary and keep you at the edge of the seat throughout the game. Good replay value, you can get different experience playing with higher difficulty setting where the ammo drop is lesser.

Great Sequel!

The plasma cutter featured in this CE is beautifully crafted, though a bit too small to fit in your hand comfortably. Also, you must have a couple of AAA batteries to light up the lasers. The best part about this CE is the outer box, which looks and feels very unique.

Isaac... Poor Isaac
Dead Space 2 dont really offer a lot of new stuff, but it does what it does best, it gives us the "haunted house" experience with a lot of scary moments!! Isaac can talk now, thats probably the big improvement over the last game!! in short, if u liked DS , u r gonna love DS 2, if u dont like Dead Space, thats probably just coz you were too scared .... Man up and get the game!! u wont regret it!!

Not for the faint of heart....my recommendation, play this game around 12 midnight, dim the lights, use headphones and remind your wife/girlfriend/roomate/partner etc to ignore obscene shouts that they might hear.
A must buy. multiplayer's awesome too, although you'll need to level up to level 7 (or 9?) just to unlock cool guns? Still, a nice way to spend quality time as your favourite necromorphs/ or running humans on multiplayer.

Great Game and sequel
Dead space 2 is a great follow up to the original and what's more the PS3 limited edition comes with dead space extraction the wii game as well as a dlc gun. The story is also very interesting and is a must buy for lovers of survival horror games!

A great sequel
Dead Space is one of my favourite game ever. One of the few real surviving horror of this consoles generation. So I was a little worried about this one, but after playing the early chapters I realize there's nothing to worry about. This game is amazing, probably even better than the first DS. Go and grab it now!

Worthy follow-up
The original Dead Space was a sleeper hit back in 2008. It was looking very generic in previews, was being developed by a (then) mediocre team and published by EA at the height of their publish slop mission.
Little did I expect Dead Space to be a heart stopping tour-de-force that annihilated all expectations so much that I would play it through many times.
Fast forward to the sequel and what do we have. Naturally the visuals have improved, with more variety to the backgrounds and superior animation. The audio has retained the incredibly high production values of the original title, but what of the gameplay.
Dead Space 2 has the same controls as the original and very little has changed. The arsenal has expanded and I feel secondary fire modes have improved (particularly the assault rifle). The way point finder (accessed in real time by clicking the right thumb stick) is still in place, but now you can select between obectives, save points and other destinations. It still works amazingly well, so well in fact I don't understand why it hasn't been copied by other developers.
My one complaint about navigation is they have removed the 3D map from the HUD. Apparently, some claimed it was unusable, rubbish! It was great for getting a sense of where you were in relation to other areas and you could make sure what size and shape a room was to help you plan a fight in advance. The game is playable without it, but I had an itch to check out the map I couldn't scratch, right up to the closing credits.
Other changes are as follows; total control in zero gravity, something which I found to be liberating and the source of some great action sequences (though not enough). Isaac is also able to hack security panels to gain access through lock doors etc. This is a great little mini game, though the difficulty level never seems to change and it pales in comparison to the hacking in Dead Space Extraction (I'm one of the three people who bought it for the Wii!).
I found the game to be more difficult than before, with resources seemingly more scarce than on the Ishimura, the ship of the first title. This is a welcome change, though the game does seem to lack some of the wow set pieces of the original and Isaac spends a lot less time being an engineer and more time simply running from A to B. I appreciate that they wanted to differentiate the game, but the first half of the game is almost all run and blast. It is enjoyable, but I did wish the Sprawl had more that needed fixing.
As for the 'horror' aspect in case people are wondering, it is no different to the original. Personally I don't consider the series to be horror. It can be creepy and the game has the odd shock moment that won't catch me out the 2nd time around, but I don't think of it as horror. I am a gore-fiend though and the game doesn't disappoint there. If you found Dead Space terrifying as some have claimed, then I imagine that you will also have nightmares here, enjoy.
Final note, I really enjoyed Dead Space 2, it's a good sequel that stays true to the theme of the original, whilst offering some great tweaks to the formula. I only hope Visceral don't ship the next game so intact as I would like to help Isaac fix an engine here and there.

If u enjoyed the first one, get ready and plunge in a new and dirtier nightmare! Dead Space 2 got awesome graphics, awesome music and background! And it added some very cool stuff (blowing a glass to see the aliens being wiped out the space ship is loads of fun... but beware not to fall in ur own trap :) )!! Must have!!

Superb craftsmanship.
You'd be hard pressed to find a better crafted game than Dead Space 2. Everything from graphics to audio to the visual aesthetics has been polished to a mirror sheen, improving even upon its impressive predecessor. A superb game, and a hell of a ride. Highly recommended.

Best survival horror game since Resident Evil 4.
This game is how a sequel should be done. Much more streamlined and better paced than the first Dead Space, the single player adventure is epic from beginning to end. This game has some of the best graphics seen on consoles, the sound design is incredible, and the level of detail in the environments and enemies is astounding.
The online multiplayer is not bad, but compared to the single player adventure, it's more of an afterthought, and kind of forgettable.
Get the PS3 version, it comes with a copy of Dead Space Extraction(ported from the Wii), and it's on one disk. Where as the Xbox 360 version is multi-disk.

Pros:
- great production values, you know you're playing an AAA game

Dead Space 2 builds on all the successes of Dead Space 1 and added more pop-corn flavour to it.
What you have is probably the most relevant Action Horror Shooter that's made available.
You should definitely grab this title to enjoy what is great quality title to hit 2011.
Totally would recommend grabbing the first title as well as they complement each other very nicely.

Yep. The title says it all. I was constantly floored by the level of polish and production this game exhibited from start to finish.
This game would put a lot of movies to shame. Great voicework, graphics, camera angles, level design, feel, menus, etc. You name it, this game does it with quality.
First off, the graphics are straight up amazing at points. Don't know how it compares technically as I'm far from an expert but in terms of art design it is top notch. Some of the sections in space looked so good and coupled with the sound really made me feel like I was there, in the vacuum of space trying to get stuff done without getting hacked to pieces by necromorphs.
The story is really good too. I'm sure that analyzing the plot might leave it a little lacking, this is summer blockbuster movie level stuff but the voice acting, script and set pieces really take it to the next level. You'll forget the pedestrian story in no time while the rest of the story related elements wow you.
The feel of the game, the shooting, moving, etc all work really well. I felt just as in control of where I was going and what I was doing as any Halo or Call of Duty game and that is a big compliment in my book. You won't have any trouble making your character do what you want him to do. The store, upgrade system and inventory are all easy to deal with as well, a much more important aspect of a video game than you might think.
The only real problem I have with this game is the repetition. Don't get me wrong, it's not a case of simple mechanics that get old quickly. This game is pretty long and you are going to shoot a lot of necromorphs. I really think that more options to approach combat (and to be honest none immediately come to mind) would have pretty much made this game close to perfect. It's hard to explain why but I got sick of the combat as the fights started to stretch more and more near the end.

Very good sequel
Played the 1st game before and this time, control has been improved and more re-playable value as upgrades can be carried forward to the new game. Visual also improved and even the multiplayer don't have much option, the single player is worth the buy. I have gone thru the game 3 times and should be playing the hardcore mode soon.

Good game, buy it!
If you've never played Dead Space then you're missing out! This game is really scary. Every time I play my wife leaves the room!
The Limited Edition game includes both Dead Space 2 as well as Dead Space Extraction which is a prequel to the original. Extraction is a Move game and a lot of fun as well.
In order to play online, you have to register a code online. When I tried to use it I would get a message saying the code wasn't valid. After a couple tries I realized the code is region locked (the game itself is not).
No problem though, since you can create a second user on your PS3 and sign that user up for a free Hong Kong PSN account. Then it accepted my code and I was able to sign back on to my main account and play online.
The online play is a lot of fun and a good with friends. But single player is the key part of this game as it'll scare you pants off!
If you've never played Dead Space then you're missing out! This game is really scary. Every time I play my wife leaves the room!
The Limited Edition game includes both Dead Space 2 as well as Dead Space Extraction which is a prequel to the original. Extraction is a Move game and a lot of fun as well.
In order to play online, you have to register a code online. When I tried to use it I would get a message saying the code wasn't valid. After a couple tries I realized the code is region locked (the game itself is not).
No problem though, since you can create a second user on your PS3 and sign that user up for a free Hong Kong PSN account. Then it accepted my code and I was able to sign back on to my main account and play online.
The online play is a lot of fun and a good with friends. But single player is the key part of this game as it'll scare you pants off!

The true survival horror of this gen returns
The original Dead Space was awesome. The sequel is even better. Bigger and more diverse enviroments, new weapons, a cool multiplayer and the great creepy atmosphere the series is known for.

The single player owns. They've improved on the first game in almost every way. Very scary, very fun.
The multiplayer requires a code supplied inside the case to be redeemed online before you can unlock it.
Definitely worth buying this game through this site for this price despite the fiddling around you have to do.

Dare to play alone??
My friends told me that this game will be much better in term of horror and the element of surprise compare to any other games so far. Well, they were right... I shall say that I won't play it at night because it will also awake the neighbors. It worth the money anyway.

this game is fantastic. totally worth the money. not only you get dead space 2 but also dead space extraction which is a full hd remake specifically for ps3. totally worth the money. both games are just as great. dont miss out your chance gettong one of these to your hands.

This is a GREAT GAME! and it's got so many great things:
- Contains Dead Space Extraction
- Has Dead Space Ignition (pre-order only)
- Great single player. It's scary and fantastic
- To lengthen the game, there is multiplayer too
And all of this is just for $50!!! Can't get any better than that!

Best horror games ever
The original dead space was a great horror games. This is even better in every aspect. Absolutely terrifying.best thing is the ps3 version include the download code for dead space ignition and also dead space extraction that was origin on wii but remastered in high defination and move compatible. So you just pay the price for three games. Value for $$$$.

A fantastic game from the onset. In the first few scenes you realise that this is no ordinary game. You literally wake up to a horror filled game and have to run to stay alive...
Every time you turn a corner, you anticipate an attack which naturally raises your heart rate and fear. Wondering around in the dark adds to the fear and you find yourself waiting to be ambushed by the ultimate horror. The necromorphs are more lethal and more terrifying. A great game to play and thoroughly enjoyable.
The one thing that is missing is a local multiplayer game. It's good online, but there is no split screen option to play on one console. Besides this little setback, the game is worth it and deserves a place in gaming folklore.
