The ninja wars between the villages are not over. Ninja Storm 2 spans the whole Shippuden series, from the first episode to the latest arc. A total of 40 ninjas are joining the fray this time, call out the power of the tailed beasts, or use the power of the Sharingan when you pit yourself against the overwhelming forces of the ninjas from the opposing villages.
The game graphics are produced under the supervision of Studio Pierrot, the backgrounds are transformed from 2D to 3D, so you can head deeper into the forests or caves during the battles. For the first time in Naruto game history, you can log on to the network to fight other ninjas and by participating in the rank matches, you can win reputation.

OK but Flawed Game
If you are looking for a great and deep fighting game. Look elsewhere. This is a good but not great fighter. The fighting mechanic is basically button mashing. However. It is a great naruto game. The game covers the timeline between the start of Naruto Shippuden upto and including the fight with pain. Graphics are great and are as good as the anime. Voiceacting is direct from anime with option to change from english to japanese voices.
With a huge roster of characters it is quite replayable and the story mode is OK but not great. Bottom line it is a great game for naruto fans but those who are looking for a fighting game... look elsewhere there are many better games in the fighting genre.

Superb!
Definitely one of the most enjoyable games I've played, and still play.
Online is a blast when you ignore the bad character balance and the players who abuse it.
Story mode is immense and awesome to go through.
Graphics are just unbelievably beautiful.

As good as the first
I enjoyed this as much as the first, gameplay that irked me in the original have now been improved. I agree with rankorth having to run back and forth between locations gets a bit tiring and I miss not being able to replay battles over and over until I'm content and unlocked all the achievements.

Very cool action sequences but...
Overall, great visuals and gameplay, however the only issue I have with it is that I have to keep walking back and forth between locations, they should have a way to teleport over from one location to another quickly.
But other than that, its a great game. Go get it!

Awesome Game but boring solo
The game by itself is great, the only problem is when you play the story mode. All fights are epic but between the fights you'll just go from A to B all the time...Boring as hell.
Multi player mode is really cool also!

The atmosphere of this game is genuine to the Naruto's world. Fortunately, we have the japanese voices.
Even if it's a 3D figthing game, the solo mode brings a lot of 'mini games' and QTE event that renews our pleasure to play this adventure.
Unfortunately, you can't change the difficulty of the COM in solo mode. Nevertheless, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 remains a good game and I look forward to the next episode.

After playing the game and beating it I can say that is a great game for the fans of the series, it has almost everything that we want.
Amazing graphics, fast combat and cool looking fights. Awesome boss fights in the story mode and overall fun to play.
What its missing is a few things... wall fighting, jutsu clashes and being able to choose jutsus for your character.
Totally worth the money, and I'm hoping for a UNS 3 =)

It is better now because all the special jutsus take less health then before, so you can prolong your battle. the ultimate mission mode is really good. the bad things is you can't run while in mission mode so you take long to get from one place to another, but the vs have many surprises.

The game itself is very slow paced with a lot of short pauses. Story wise is pretty much the same as the manga except for some minor changes that allow for you to progress through the game.
Was good t reminiscence back on the shippuden story.
Gameplay is straightforward and simple.
Overall worth buying if your a naruto fan.

Naruto awesome as always
The best game about Naruto theme, i say much further - its supreme game.
All is need to say is - 40+ playble chars, lot of gameplay things and epic boss figth, lot of items and weapons - wich you can use in online battles, and i sure you - trophies up there. ^______^

Great game
From what i know Naruto Ninja Storm 1 was filled with nonsensical quests while this version has almost none such quests... all quests are tied to fighting and throughout the game you would get to try different characters and see them evolve. There are 2 retarded quests at the start of the game but dont worry as its likely to be the last of those errand quests

For Naruto Fans (Only)
The game is really a dream come true.
For true fans who ever wished they could be a part of the naruto universe, this is the closest you can get to it. Visuals are better than the actual anime, and though the fighting is simple, there is lot of strategy behind it which actually makes a pretty complex fighting game. Just like in the actual naruto series, though jutsus are pretty easy to perform, there is a lot of thinking behind HOW to execute one to make it most effective, and the game recreates that scenario perfectly.
2 drawbacks though - Adventure mode is awful (though you can unlock all characters except hokage naruto through free battle itself, you don't need to play adventure mode), and the second drawback is that it is solely for naruto fans.
Anyways, if you are a naruto fan, this is a MUST-PICK-UP game. Enjoy :)

Definitely a must-have for Naruto fans and also fighting game fans. With amazing cel chaded graphics and dynamic action sequence in-between fights. The storyline covers from after the 3 years time skip until Pain Arc events, with also an extra storyline after that. A summary of the first part of the series is also available by collecting scrolls to unlock the storyline.

The developers have fixed just about all floors from the first game which I loved, and added in features much missed in the first game; trophies and online play.

Naruto game at it's best
The long running ninja anime has got it self a great looking game. There are improvements from the first game and it looks great, sounds great, plays great it's like watching an interactive anime. Naruto fan or not, it's a must buy.

Gameplay:
The singleplayer campaign is quite fun; the story itself differs to the manga and anime only just slightly, but expect most of the events to mirror the anime/manga if you have seen/read it. It is more of a advanture/action/fighting game in the single player mode which I myself found it quite fun despite knowing what will happen in the story. In short, the game itself if quite simply, fun. Boss battles interactive action scenes are a highlight.
The multiplayer/fighting mechanic of the game is what made me let down. I play Street Fighter IV regularly, and to me when transitioning to Naruto, it was quite simply, too easy. This is because they want people to pull off nifty moves and combos easily without learning much button inputs (I prefer Rise of Ninja or Broken Bond's fighting mechanic gameplay). Instead though, the mechanic is more leaned towards a simple Attack > Throw > Block system, with variations, such as armor break, assist stun, substitution jitsu tech etc. tl;dr fighting is quite simple to pick up and play, but can be deep if you want to dwell more into it. 6.5/10
Presentation:
Very good structured missions and levels, amazing and beautiful cell shaded artwork, makes it one of the best presented game I ever played. There are little to no glitches in the graphics, and it really makes you feel like you are part of the Naruto world. The cell shaded graphics is one of the best you will ever see in any game, even surpassing Broken Bond in my opinion. It has a really nice anime feel, although the interactive stuff seems to have a bolder outline which makes it too stand-out ish. Apart from that, this is definitely one of the more good looking games out there. The fighting graphics I forgot to mention is really good without any frame rate issues. 9/10
Music:
No contest, 10/10.
With firmilar songs to the anime, the game does have a few of its own tracks of its own which is just down right awesome. It fits right into the Naruto universe, and it's just awesome to listen to, as you play the game. The music makes this game if anything.
As soon as you hit the main menu, you will be already in awe of how awesome the soundtrack is.
Verdict:
Story is good, music is good (soo good that I'm listening to the OST I got fom the CE as I type this!), gameplay (the fighting aspect) could get a bit more polish, especially if they wanted to make it a deeper fighting game, but all in all it's a good package.
If you are looking for a deep fighting game, look somewhere else like Super Street Fighter IV, Virtua Fighter 5 or even Blazblue. If you are after a good action-adventure/fighting game and having a fun time, this is definitely the game for you. The experience is definitely there, and there is no question Naruto fans will have already picked this up.

Fully immerses players in the mythical ninja world
Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is a lot better than the first game. There are now more possibilities to walk around in the Hidden Leaf Village and also in other parts of the Naruto world. This game is by far the best part ever in the franchise, so this is great material for the fans.
