Incredibly Perfect
Does not live up to expectations Having followed the Forza franchise from its inception, I have been horribly disappointed with the latest edition.
Forza was always meant to be different from Gran Tourismo and that is why it was always considered one step ahead.
The game has sacrificed gameplay for gimmicks like graphics and better AI.
The cars are easier to control than Forza 2, almost petering on the original.
Silly intros to races and a voice over that you get over very quickly too.
You know they've lost the plot when in a game that is meant to be a SIMUATOR, has things like assisted braking and a time reverse option.
You can't go back in time in real life and so why should you be able to in a simulator.
This was meant to be a game for purists or for noobs to hone their skills.
Not a rebranding of Need for Speed.
Don't get me wrong, its still very pretty.
But if I want to play a racing simulator I will revert back to Forza 2.
If you want an arcade game then I recommend this, NFS or GT.
XBox's Answer to Gran Turismo This game is probably the best racing simulator on the market today. The graphics are top notch, with every minute detail being replicated to stunning accuracy, courses being modeled after their realworld counterparts, and even the interiors and undersides of cars being highly textured and accurate. Controls, racing physics and driving assistance can be scaled to match your desired level of realism, and the fine tuning of cars can be considered a separate game in itself. Paint jobs, logos, colors, brakes, engine computer chips, tire width and softness, EVERYTHING can be customized. And with more than 400 cars out of the package, you can make your dream garage and actually have a feeling of accomplishment. Online racing is also great and offers a whole new gaming experience.
