Follow the story of the legendary ODSTs or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers as they drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa, looking for clues behind the Covenant's catastrophic attack on the city
Prepare to drop. Known for their courage, valor and at times, insanity, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are among the fiercest UNSC soldiers, priding themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. Halo® 3: ODST returns players to familiar ground on a vital, top-secret mission. The gripping story, cooperative campaign and new multiplayer content will have Halo fans "Preparing to Drop" in Fall 2009. Originally titled Halo 3: Recon, the new game brings the perspective of new characters to the Human-Covenant struggle, as it explores the ODST, or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.
works perfectly on my pal xbox 360 console works perfectly on my pal xbox 360 console here in australia and has an aswome campain and the second disc that comes bundled with it is halo 3 mystic disc 2 which is the halo 3 online multiplayer version but with some new maps in the dvd and the old ones and plays GREAT offline and online! I'm very pleased with this halo 3 odst 2 disc bundle
a steep price to pay for an expansion pack. halo is made for multiplayer and this is just halo 3. with extra maps. which are now available to halo3 owners. worthless.
A great twist on single player, aging multiplayer though... The singleplayer experience in ODST is an extremely enjoyable one, with the reduced heealth system and the lack of security you get from not being a spartan quite refreshing for a series that has been mildly stagnant over its past iterations.
The multiplayer on the other hand is still that same old halo 3 mechanics, and the new additional maps, whilst interesting, do not have the prevalence to make finding a game with a good connection viable, so you are simply stuck with playing the same overplayed maps from halo 3.
Firefight, the other new addition to ODST is, whilst fun, not as focused an experience or addictive as a game dedicated to this type of play, such as left 4 dead.
ODST's singleplayer greatly makes up for the flaws experienced in the now aging multiplayer of Halo.
