description
Caught between two rival factions in war-torn Africa, you are sent to take out "The Jackal", a mysterious character who has rekindled the conflict between the warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. In order to fulfil your mission you will have to play the factions against each other, identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralise their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion, cunning and, of course, brute force

Good Game This is a good game to buy. It has large, open areas to explore and often multiple ways to approach your objective/target. A good variety of weapons and an interesting game mechanic where over time and use your guns deteriorate making them less reliable i.e. prone to jamming. The missions are varied and you can work for many different people from warlords and gun runners to journalists and "buddies".
There is a buddy system where if you run into trouble (or as I found out far too often, if trouble runs over you in a jeep) then your best buddy will pull you out of trouble and help you clear the area.
The problem I have with this game is two fold. The problems by themselves are ok but together can get annoying quickly. They are large areas/large distances to cover and respawning enemies. Now I understand having no respawning would leave the game pretty sparse on action but a few minutes after having decimated a vehicle check point seeing it rebuilt and repopulated can be exasperating.
Also the ending comes very suddenly. It builds up for a while and you can feel the tension but then it just finishes.
Open ended shooter... quite unique If you like shooters and you missed some less linear experience than the usual "corridor-following" routine, then "Farcry 2" will be your game.
A gigantic open-world map (set in Africa) and lots of side-quests complete a very satisfying shooter, one more complex and with more freedom than the usual restricting shooters out there.
And of course, graphically it's superb, one of the best looking games of this generation.
tough but fun it's a tough game to play but i'll admit, it is quite fun as you can open end ways to move on with the story. Great job sending the item over to me so quickly despite the Christmas season!
