"Batman: Arkham Asylum" exposes players to a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure that takes them to the depths of Arkham Asylum - Gotham's psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. Gamers will move in the shadows, instigate fear amongst their enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City's most notorious villains who have taken over the asylum.
Great Game!!! The game puts you in control of batman as he tries to stop the jokers plans, when he takes control of Arkham Asylum, break free gotham most wanted criminals who will use every trick in their sleves to put the vigillante out for good.
GRAPHICS: The game looks fantastic. It's just a delight to look at all inches of detail the creators put into the game, many times I found myself ignoring the enemies and just admiring the Asylum. The dark feel of the environment fits the game perfect, and batman's armor damages throughout the story just proves how much attention to details were brought by the creators.
GAMEPLAY: The many aspects of the gameplay are very polished. The basics of the combat involves only 3 buttons(attack, counter and dodge), but feels and look amazing, and never feels tiring. The stealth controls are also very simple and very exciting to use. The many gadgets(which goes from batrangs, to the grappling hook, passing through many others) prooves as a worthy representation of the arsenal the bat uses in the comics, and are very usefull, both inside and outside of combat, not to mention the detective view, which gives you a new look at the situation you're handling. Everything I just mentioned, plus a smooth movement makes the game very enjoyable to play.
CONCEPT/STORY: A very intriguing story, with many twists, and the participation of many of the comics chracters appearing, especially vilans(Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane and many more). It provides a very extensive gameplay, with exciting boss battles, and many different objectives to accomplish. Playing through the main story never gets tiring.
EXTRAS: With 240 trophys/riddles/patient interviews/etc to collect, many challenges, DLC, possibility to play as Joker(up to this moment only in the PS3) will sharpen your detective skills to the maximum. The voice tracks of the patients interviews are essential for every fan of the bat. Every text in the game is dubbed(the poor lipsincing didn't bother me at all).
To sum things up, this is a FANTASTIC game, especially for action/adventure fans and batman fans, but should be played by everyone.

I AM Batman If you've ever wondered what it's like to be Batman - buy this game. From massive freeflowing combos to stealth mechanics to a cool upgrade system that introduces more and more of Batman's gadgets this game keeps upping the bar with just the right pacing. Story is good, and when you're done you'll only have completed about half the actual content... next up: hunting down all of Riddler's challenges and the challenge mode (2 types - stealth and combat). You'll clock in a fair few hours if you want to become the perfect Knight.
Good game I would give this game 5 out of 5 stars, but it includes so much crap that really spoils the immersion for me. Would Batman seriously go around destroying "Joker Teeth" just to get an achievement that he destroyed ten on every level? It's ridiculous.
The graphics are great. The fighting mechanics are very good. The silent takedowns are great. The collecting achievements...I could definitely live without those.
One word - awesome Stop reading this and buy it - the combat system alone is worth a purchase.
This is the only five star rating I have given - and this game deserves it.
Good plot, enjoyable side quests, fantastic combat system and great bosses. You actually feel like you are Batman - not just some pixels organised to look like him.

One of few great licensed games. I like Batman. Not a huge fan, but he is one of few superheroes I can tolerate. Licensed games tend to stink, but in this case, they managed to pull it off and make a great game. It would have been one of the best games of the year, even without the license.
Solid graphics and nice voice acting. Full of fanservice for Batman-fans. Solid controls Metroid-like exploration. Great stealthing that rivals MGS and a fun hand-to-hand combat system. Not the most difficult game, but some boss battles can be challenging on hard. Really fun to play, and very recommended.
