In Terminator Salvation the videogame, based on the upcoming Terminator Salvation film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Sony Pictures, players assume the role of John Connor, a soldier in the resistance, battling for survival against the far superior forces of Skynet.
Terminator Salvation the videogame is an intense action-packed third-person shooter featuring concentrated armed combat against all of the Skynet enemies from the film and new killer machines specifically designed for the game. Taking place two years before the events of the upcoming film set in a post apocalyptic, decimated Los Angeles, players will be lead through a visceral, story and character driven gaming experience.
Featuring intense third-person action, Terminator Salvation the videogame will take combat to the next level with iconic enemies, cinematic fight sequences and advanced weaponry, drawn directly from the film, as well as an innovative, multi-layered cover mechanic.
Average cover based shooter As far as movie licenses go, Terminator Salvation is pretty decent. However if you're familiar with the general quality of games based on film licenses then you'll know that this isn't saying much.
Salvation plays like a poor man's version of Gears of War. The cover system works relatively well, and the game introduces a mechanic that lets you slip between different bits of cover with ease. The shooting controls are responsive and for the most part accurate. The problem however lies with the fact that your squad is absolutely useless. Certain enemies (like the spider bot) require cooperative action with someone laying covering fire to distract the bot and the other person flanking the machine to shoot out it's vulnerable rear. Unfortunately your squad mates are terrible at laying down covering fire and even worse at flanking maneuvers. You'll have to do all the work yourself, which in some of the more hectic battles, can be quite problematic (especially on the hard difficulty). The game unfortunately does NOT provide an online coop option either so if you do want to play through the game with a buddy you must do it split screen which, in all honesty, is so 90s.
Other quirks that the game suffers includes occasional audio cut outs, enemies getting stuck on bits of the environment not letting you progress onwards to the next checkpoint, and a general lack of polish when it comes to in-game graphics, cutscenes and story telling. The game is very brief as well and can be completed in under 5 hours. Achievement points are easy to get, so if you are an Achievement hound, play the game on hard and you'll get all 1000 points with one play through. For a full price game this is definitely not worth it, but for a budget title it is all right, especially if you like achievement points as much as I do.
it shud be have multiplayers i scpred hard level in this game...as any games i touches i start on hard level no easy.the environment in this game is well design.If only there is multiplayer online...it'll be awesome using droids or resistance.8/10 that is my comment for this baby.

Great, innovative and very short game This game extends the Third person shooter type Gears of War but it is too short.
The AI is good but not excellent
The cover system is great
And the environment is well represented.

Easy 1000 Points Reasonable shooter,fun but a bit repetitive. If you like Terminator you'll enjoy a play through of this game, should get 1000 point in about 3-4 hours

This game is not very fun Very short, boring, repetitive game play.
definitely not worth the money. Don't waste your time with this game, as there are so many much better games available.
