Great Movie Tie-in! I expect most gamers to agree when I say that games based on or around the universe of a movie or movie series are usually complete pants. Thankfully Ghostbusters is an exception.
Written and performed by the same people who made the movies and developed by people who appear to love the source material. Ghostbusters adheres very closely to the canon of the Ghostbusters world.
Catching ghosts in a trap is a tug-of-war struggle fans of the movies will recognise and love. The visual and audio effects are also spot-on with many favourites returning and plenty of references for the eagle-eyed.
As mentioned the actual ghost busting stands up well and is a load of fun. As you play through the story mode, new weapons are added to your pack adding interest and keeps things fresh.
Problems - the dodge move is mostly useless and occasionally you are unavoidably knocked down causing much frustration. Your NPC partners will help you back on your feet Gears of War style however, but it is an issue worth mentioning.
Some may also loath the 7-8 hour play time, personally I feel the game didn't outstay it's welcome and I see myself returning to play it several more times.
Ghostbusters 3!!!! This game is basically the third Ghostbusters movie. If you were born in the 80's and grew up watching the films time and time again this is a must buy.
All the original actors from the movies have returned as the voice actors and the game script was written by Harold Ramis (Egon) and Dan Akyrod (Ray) just like the first two movies. It still has all the charm and wit while also being a solid fun game.
The PS3 version was also recently patched to fix some of the resolution problems that plagued it and as such is now a much better experience. I recommend this game to die-hard Ghostbuster fans and action game fans alike.
the closest you will get to actually being in a movie Game play is a little short but you will have a blast will you do. Very immersive great to have the proper voices and likenesses.
Go Go Go Ghostbusters..... One of the best Ghostbusters games to ever come out and i just love how this title just feels like a 3rd movie in the series :)
