Like POP? Finally, change the genre of previous games in the guitar hero series. You can find a smooth rock, a lot of pop music and archivmenty much easier than in previous games. I recommend!

Great music! The soundtrack is awesome, I love most of the songs in it and it's really fun to play. I play it for many hours almost everyday.
Disc OK, Online shop disappointing I wanted a change from Guitar Hero, as not really into all the heavy rock songs, so was looking forward to the poppier songs and artists in Band Hero. The game itself is great and the songs are lighter, so recommended in that respect. However one thing that is disappointing was the Online Shop to buy more songs. So far the songs lean more towards rock than pop. So come on Activision, don't let this turn into another Guitar Hero, we want lighter songs!

Unusable with school kids I am a 6th grade music teacher and I bought Band Hero specifically for use in my classes.
The game is rated E-for-everyone-10+ but, as reviews have noted, contains songs that are obviously sexual. There are also a number of songs with the word "damn" in them... not ridiculously offensive, but definitely inappropriate for school.
The makers of the game took the time to edit out fairly innocent words like "whiskey" from American Pie and "gay" from Taylor Swift's Picture to Burn, yet they have the singer repeat "I don't give a damn" over and over in Joan Jett's song. Similar language appears in Rock Star and Black Cat as well.
If you're designing a game to be "family-friendly", and even take the time to edit the language, why do such a terrible job of it?
